For the person looking for teacher gifts - the hotel chocolat crackers are nice and would go nice with the nails inc crackers reduced to £25 in boots (think you get 5 or 6 in a pack)

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 30/11/2015 20:46

DS1 informed me today that his teacher is diabetic. I normally give a mug with hot choc sachets and a mini bottle of Baileys. I can't do that, can I? But I hVe got the bloody mugs and made the covers already....

Nearlyadoctor · 30/11/2015 20:46

Has anybody got a Fat Face code please - thought there was one posted the other day but can't find it now?

CRtester · 30/11/2015 20:58

forgiven I've no idea whether you'll still be able to get a gopro on Christmas eve. Tbh I can't see why not - I guess it just depends how fine you mind cutting it!

I've been hunting for a bargain one for ages, but no luck. I've finally bought one from Currys for £94 (seems to be standard price) I went through topcashback as Currys have a 10% cashback thing running for the next week. So actually it will only have cost me £85, which isn't too bad.

Do you have a credit card you could put it on? You could pay the balance off in full when you get paid to avoid being charged interest and also save a bit by doing the cashback thing. Just a thought.

CRtester · 30/11/2015 21:02

Youre how frustrating! Could you still use the mug but maybe put some nice tea bags / coffee or similar in instead?

Silky2015 · 30/11/2015 21:05

Hi, my elc birthday code hasn't come through again this year (slightly suspicious at this time of year) if anyone has one I could use for a purchase this evening. Thanks

AllyourGreens · 30/11/2015 21:15

Pooseyfrumpture and zipzap thanks for the recommendations. Think I'll pop into my local Asda at some point this week and see if they have any left.

JoanneCofton · 30/11/2015 21:21

Anyone on the cath kidston mailing list, I received a cracker in the post today with a 20% off voucher if I spend £35 or more in store. It also has a code to use online, which is secretsanta.

supermariossister · 30/11/2015 21:56

Another one who has just raided the disney dvds, we have 300 points, dont think there is any more disney in the house but i shall keep looking!

Chocolateteabag · 30/11/2015 21:56

I have just been flicking through the Amazon deals filtering on category and under "Office & School Supplies" coming up at 8am tomorrow is a bottle of Tequila
Made me Grin as I imagine many people teachers seeing it as an essential item

AdmiralCLingus · 30/11/2015 21:58

After a completely unbargainous trip to build a bear, I did get a voucher for £10 for a fiver as we spent a lot over £25. Might be useful to someone if they're going to build a bear anyway

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 30/11/2015 21:59

Those of you looking for lego advent calendars - I don't actually know much about lego myself so I don't know if this would be suitable but my sister bought my nephews the wilko 'lego' advent calendar. It looks fab and apparently it's compatible with real lego.

FabFlo, do you think the school would mind if you walked dd to her classroom just this once or are they quite strict. At my dd's school I've seen parents go inside (when we're not supposed to usually) at Christmas and at the end of the school year to take wine/china/heavy plant pots etc.

Also thank you admiral for the boots advice. Hopefully I can hold off till the next £10 for £50 day!

Oh onr more thing sorry, with the wh smith 20% off voucher, is there a minumum spend to get this? I need some busy books and was thinking I could go in to buy a magazine to get the voucher to use on the books. Is that even allowed or do you have to spend it at a later date?

houseHuntinginmanchester · 30/11/2015 22:07

I got a my little pony busy book from asda for 3.99 and a frozen fever one from sainsbos for 3.99 also, so much cheaper than whsmith even with discount !

AdmiralCLingus · 30/11/2015 22:13

cadance I Collected all the O2 freebies from whsmiths today and got a tonne of receipts... if you're okay to hang on until the morning (I'm in bed now lol) I'll check what's there and report back

asuwere · 30/11/2015 22:15

lion if you didn't get the postage sorted on Amazon for mousetrap, I've just seen it on Tesco for £15.

Oreocrumbs · 30/11/2015 22:18

I got a my little pony busy book in tk Maxx (Durham) on Sunday for £4.99. Got home and decided I wanted another one so went to asda this morning, but got distracted by the £10 1l bottles of baileys and forgot to look for it. I then got doubly distracted by the phone shop next door and came home with a sum total of a bottle of vodka, bottle of baileys and a new iPhone... Oops. Think I've lost my way with the bargain hunting a bit there Blush

ExAstris · 30/11/2015 22:19

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear oh those womdee scarves might work for the CM herself, great idea. Not sure the assistant is a scarf kinda woman so will keep thinking for her.

Still need a robot for DS age 4, if anyone has any recommendations?

Bit peed off that I spent £55 on baby clothes on Thursday at Sainsbury's, and now I'm going to have to take them back and re-buy tomorrow to get the 25% off!

The CraftyGiraffe wooden spoons someone mentioned look nice for StepMIL. Was there a code I've missed?

Polkadot1974 · 30/11/2015 22:19

Decided to get my son's teacher a personalised notebook but only found one where the pages and personalised and not just the front page but it is a bit meh for him. Anyone seen any anywhere where it is all personalised on each page? Thank you in advance!

Nursenat100 · 30/11/2015 22:27

Exastris....I picked up an amazing walking, talking robot in morrisons today for £8...bloody bargain! I queried the price with staff as it looks so much more expensive, but it was correct

DingbatsFur · 30/11/2015 22:31

This is a fab robot
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B006YG57ZW/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1448922582&sr=8-3&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=dancing+robot&dpPl=1&dpID=61NfPJUUXyL&ref=plSrch
We got him for DS who is 6, but would do for a 4 year old.

Pigleychez · 30/11/2015 23:03

Bunch of Bastards What about filling the cup with beauty things? Small bottles from bodyshop etc? Small hemp hand cream tube?

Polkadot www.notonthehighstreet.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&term=personalised+notepad&filter%5Bcategory_id%5D=15000&search=find these any good?

zipzap · 30/11/2015 23:15

Youre Might be worth looking in a big supermarket/health store/Boots/etc to see if they do diabetic friendly sachets of hot chocolate - I bet that somebody must make them...

And then how about some reusable hand warmers - they often come quite cheap and would follow with the winter warming theme...

toodarnhilly · 30/11/2015 23:20

Just booked England tickets! Second bargain after chalk pens so I decided to delurk and say thank you.

Also wondering if anyone has new smiths code as the one in link doesn't seem to work. Might be a cyber Monday thing

VaJayJay · 01/12/2015 00:25

I've been thinking of getting a kindle for ages and have just seen all the posts about the bargain 'Amazon fire', is it just the same as a kindle? I'm not very up on technology so I don't know if it's what I'm looking for. Blush

Also I'm sure I recall reading on a previous thread, something about Boots reducing a Soap and Glory set nearer to Christmas, can anyone confirm this or am I completely making it up.

Thank you Smile

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 01/12/2015 01:29
