I'm usually as hard as nails but that one got me! I've lurked on this thread for years and added little bits if I can, but ultimately, that's what this thread should be about. This thread has helped me achieve something I thought was completely and utterly unobtainable.
He's such a good boy and works so hard at school, Cubs, Football and is adorable with his toddler sister. Thank you for helping me do this for him Grin

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 28/11/2015 10:00

captainflash- can we be dead bossy and insist you come back and tell us about it when you go? [santa]

it made me cry a little bit as well

RJnomore1 · 28/11/2015 10:08

Just as well I held out on Black Friday, had to buy a new washer dryer this morning following on from the dishwasher about two weeks ago.

Lots of muttered sweating going on here Angry

Chocolateteabag · 28/11/2015 10:17

CaptainFlash - your posts have made me feel all happy and weepy at the same time big Star for lurleen

Right I have a Crabtree & Evelyn VIP invite - it's for this Thursday 3rd - you are supposed to call your local store to RSVP your place at their party.

I managed to crash one of these last year and then registered on the day to their loyalty program.

Basically they will have usual gift sets etc, 20% off on the day plus a gift bag for you worth £20.

I went to the Outlet store in Seaham (off the A19 south of Sunderland) and managed to get loads of stuff for last years presents.

Probably best to call your nearest store if you are making the trip - but if you are near one on Thursday - might be worth calling in?

captainflash · 28/11/2015 10:19

Will do ThenLater. My dad has said he'll get him Arsenal Stadium tour tickets for Christmas too so we can do that the next day. And see the FA Cup! My dad is usually shite with presents so this makes it easy for him.
Am feeling the festive love today. [santa]

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 28/11/2015 10:21

woodwaj · 28/11/2015 10:37

RJ you are not alone that's exactly what I bought Angry

RJnomore1 · 28/11/2015 10:38

Oh dear. The sweating has not been muttered there has been plenty of it hauling the machine in and out though. It's the swearing was muttered.

It does suck, I want to be spending my money on festive fripperies!

RJnomore1 · 28/11/2015 10:39

Wood Sad

DillieDoily · 28/11/2015 11:01

Bottles of Chateuneuf Du Pape are reduced to £8 at Tesco. I've just bought four bottles for various wine-living relatives. I've never seen it so cheap before

Anyone know how long Amazon will refund price drop differences for? Am I likely to get refunded for something bought just over a month ago?

ja9r · 28/11/2015 12:56

By any chance has anyone seen those whoopee pets at a bargainous price anywhere. Was hoping aliexpress would do them but can't find and... B&m or home bargains perhaps?

Badders123 · 28/11/2015 12:57

Well Black Friday was a bit of a damp squib wasn't it?
Bargains this week:
Star Wars Disney infinity for PS3 on Amazon for £25. Ds2 will love it.
New electric shaver for Dh from Amazon - was £100 got it for £35.
New body warmer for Dh from h and m - 40% off so £15.
Been to ikea this morning but didn't see much tbh.
Also went to m and s and all biscuits tins are half price or 3 for 2...some nice Star Wars ones.

Badders123 · 28/11/2015 13:01

Cornflakes..worked for me! I got a refund on the difference of my prime membership AND the Lego dimensions starter pack.

neddle · 28/11/2015 13:12

I asked Amazon about refunding on the Lego train I bought in April for christmas.
Wouldn't refund all the difference, but gave me £5 gift card.

two2 · 28/11/2015 13:13

ChristmasEvePJs I was in asda this morning and they had this tartan wrapping paper
