Fueled, I picked up some dinosaur Pyjamas for my 2 year old DS in Primark today for £5. They are blue and red with green dinosaurs. They're the kind with a button up shirt. They were on a shelf with all the Christmas Pyjamas Grin

Don't suppose anybody has seen any Lego City advent calendars still in stock anywhere at normal prices?

Have been asking ds2 if he wants one for ages (he refused to answer sooner because it was too far away from Christmas - a nice stand when you are 7 - but has the knock on consequences of everything going out of stock in the mean time) and now he's decided he wants one. And I can only find expensive ones on Amazon...

I've tried all the supermarkets, toys r us, smyths, john lewis, debenhams, argos, hamleys, very, the lego shop, boots and it feels like more.

Would be very grateful if anybody has spotted them!

ihatethecold · 28/11/2015 06:17

I'm also waiting for a Kloo code to come through.
Are the games suitable for a 12 year old that's just started learning Spanish at school and finding it hard?

RayFuckingPurchase · 28/11/2015 06:17

zipzap our local Squires garden centre has them - see if there's one near you [santa]

FernArable · 28/11/2015 06:55

zipzap where are you? My local Toysrus and Lego Store still had tham last week. I'm in the North East though.

lozster · 28/11/2015 06:57

The Imaginext Lions Den castle is half price or better in a few places. I paid £19.99 in home bargains (quality save) but it is also £20 in Very and £25 in Argos. It's a substantial toy with loads to do but not quite as nice to look at as the submarine.

Thanks to the person who reported on the Boden mug. I also managed to combine the discount plus free £10 voucher and get it for 50p. Grin

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 28/11/2015 07:55

coolpatterngirl · 28/11/2015 08:23

Have been offline all
Week but Black Friday was underwhelming.

In all of
The Xmas excitement I've forgotten my wedding anniversary! Can anyone
Recommend something bargainous for dh (pottery or leather!)

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 28/11/2015 08:24

Thank you for all the dino suggestions. They are for Christmas Eve so need to be very festive. Will try primark Flowers

margaritasbythesea · 28/11/2015 08:30

I think it would be. Apparently they are used in schools. I got mine because my kids understand Spanush but are afraid to speak it. It is early days but it is helping bridge the gap.

curriegirl · 28/11/2015 08:36

Leather wallet or belt? Or a new mug?

FabFlo · 28/11/2015 08:43

captainflash · 28/11/2015 08:54

Lurleen thank you so much for the England tickets tip. I took my son to an Under 21's match this month and he loved it. On the way home he said how much he'd like to see a proper one but knew I'd never be able to afford it. Well, this morning I've booked tickets for both of us and a Travelodge nearby for £100.
We will have the most wonderful couple of days. I could cry at what it'll mean to him. Thanks and Flowers
And unmumsnetty xxx!

flatmouse · 28/11/2015 08:57

I'm after a website that is good for engineering construction toys for 14 yr old. Idea like the Haynes combustion kit (but he's already had that!)?

outputgap · 28/11/2015 08:59

Aw! I bloody love this thread!

EnglishRose1320 · 28/11/2015 09:07

Fueled just picked up my boys some Christmas eve pj's from sainsbury, they are checky bottoms with a picture of a t Rex on the top wearing a Christmas hat, think it says santa-sauras on them.

Physionic · 28/11/2015 09:08

Ah just twitched on the campervan - really don't need it but I'm sure the grandparents who own a full size campervan do Grin

spub · 28/11/2015 09:10

I luffs this thread too. Wipes small bit of grit that made eye leak at Captain's message Xmas Grin

EnglishRose1320 · 28/11/2015 09:11

Sorry just realised sainsburys pj's have already been mentioned, loads of them in my local sainsburys so might be worth checking back every now and again

itsonlysubterfuge · 28/11/2015 09:19

Found a KitchenAid Mixer for only £299.99 from Hart's of Stur, however it's only available in Espresso, a dark brown colour.

ChristmasEvePJs · 28/11/2015 09:22

Zipzap my local Dobbies had lots left on Thursday.

fivefoottwowitheyesofblue · 28/11/2015 09:32

Fabflo Thanks for the Book People code but I am not spending £30.
