Right Christmas is F$%^ing cancelled in the Flutterbee household!!!!

So far this week I have lost my job meaning that we will not be having any nice food and DH and I won't be getting any presents.

I have flipped my lid at college as the group of useless twats that I have been working with to put on a charity event next week have done bugger all and left it all down to me. Even to the writing of the 150 invites.

DS has had his 3rd ear infection this winter and has been keeping us up alllllllll night.

and now....

I open the Christmas decorations (all last years because we can't afford any extras) and after pulling the Christmas tree out I realise that the bloody base is missing so we can't put the damn thing up.

It is just the straw that has broken the camels back, I am so bloody pissed off and upset I can't explain it. It never rains but it bloody pours Xmas Sad

We have tried every way we could think of to get it to stand up, but the problem is that to make it stand up we need to put most of the bottom of the tree in a bucket and it just looks so stupid.

Oh and I can't opt out or the organising because we are being assesed on it and I seem to be the only bugger who cares about getting a good grade!!!

right. ok then , if you can pay the courier i can send you a 3ft tree not much but all i have spare, also some craft packs for the kids and some chocs and a bottle of wine for you and dh.

I would say can you and DP have a romantic night in? it costs nothing to wear some nice undies and and cuddle up together and listen to some music/ watch a film as an xmas pressie? I don;t know if your into that sort of thing though so sorry if your not.

Shite luck always comes in 3's so hopefully things will start looking up.

The offer os amazing Xmasmummy but firstly I can't afford to pay the courier (Dh and I have £6 together ) and secondly I don't want anyone to send anything, you have all been wonderfull on the Xmas thread to people much needier than I.

Also as I have said on the Xmas thread DS is only 1 and has a present so he is covered he is far to young to care about anything, so I am not concerned about him.

speak to your tutor re: the charity event are you assessed on the event or on a written piece.

christmas is about being with the peopel who matter as well (me and dh don't have pressies sinceI have been studying)

Flutterkey I was crying this afternoon because my cristmas tree collapsed 1 hour after we'd decorated it, and was histionically shouting to Dh (whose entire fault it was obviously) that i was f**king cancelling christmas. And I haven't had all your other stressess this week. So I feel pretty shame faced and can imagine that you feel like you can't take the stress any more.

Take help where it's offered an djust focus on what's important ( if you feel you can take advice from a woman who sat crying in the smashed baubles wailing we were never having a tree again)
