When is your tree going up then??

I spoke to someone yesterday who had put their tree up already . I thought that was just for the shops!

I have got a couple of friends coming here to do something festive (make wreaths) on the 1st. Sherry and mince pies will be involved and I was thinking of putting the tree up the day before to add to the occasion!

Bit earlier than usual for me I think but needs must and all that.

I've earmarked the 9th this year. I like it to be up before 'the children' break up and always out the lights on very early in the morning so 'the children' have their breakfast by Xmas-light.

DS, 21, has his final lecture on the 11th.
DD, 14, breaks up a few days after.
I fear they won't sob if the lights aren't on for breakfast, but I might.

Christmas Eve. It's a family tradition that mt Grandparents started. Tree up, light supper, midnight Mass and then bed. This year I'm hoping to have enough unique baubles to be able to ditch the horrible plastic ones I was given many years ago after ExH stole everything from the house. DH will be happy about that, anyway.

All comes down on the 6th Jan.

We're putting ours up this weekend... I also keep it up until well after new year.

For me - mid December. Real trees are so expensive you need value for money but you don't want it looking a bit wilted on Christmas day. I take it down on the 12th day :)

Definitely going for Advent weekend this year as away from 27th Dec for New Year . 3 trees all fake though and many other decs and lots of lights everywhere.

Enormous tree is up..... I feel quite down this weekend and I thought.... Bollocks.... It's going up :)
