I am trying to make a list to give DH. We have a small budget for each other, £50 each, and he likes to have a list of things to pick from. I need ideas. So far all I have is Nigella's new cook book.

So what would YOU like for Christmas? It might give me some inspiration, and we mustn't forget about ourselves in the madness. :)

Pyjamas.
The Killing on DVD
The Prada Iris perfume
Lush bath bombs
Refill for my feed defuser (fig or rose)

DH wants a hat, a coal scuttle and pyjamas...

TheWoollybacksWife · 10/11/2015 19:27

A new dressing gown
Some mint creams
A salt pig Smile
A kindle voucher (and my favourite authors to have written new books)
Some rosewood crochet hooks and cashmere yarn

Sofagoulish · 10/11/2015 19:29

Sheepskin slippers
Country boots
No7 face gift set
Posh chocolates

LauraChant · 10/11/2015 19:30

I have a list of gift ideas from the 1930s if that helps. For the "head of the house" it suggests golf balls, Stilton Cheese or an order on the hat shop in St James Street for a new hat. For Madame it suggests a brass toasting fork, silk stockings and an early morning tea set for her own use.

Mydearchild · 10/11/2015 19:30

Top of my list is always a white company winter candle. Love the scent Smile

Nanasueathome · 10/11/2015 19:32

I want the Liberty beauty advent calendar

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 10/11/2015 19:38

I want a ukulele I've been asking for at least 2 years but I think DH is ignoring it because it will mean he will have to be in a house with me and a ukulele Grin

Other than that I'm not really bothered (a really fluffy dressing gown would be nice though).

TyrannosaurusBex · 10/11/2015 20:49

I'd like a Kitchen Aid, a DVD of To Catch A Thief, a book of Horst's photography, L'Artisan du Chocolat floral creams, a mezzaluna, a spiralizer, a Bundt tin, some Matcha powder, the latest Anne Tyler book and loads of M&S giant chocolate buttons.

WheresMyBurrito · 10/11/2015 20:53

An Aeropress
Some new pyjamas, because mine are all enormous now I'm no longer pregnant
Some decent moisturiser
New perfume (but don't know what, so no chance there!)

NutCrackerSlacker · 10/11/2015 20:54

Tom Ford Black Violet perfume

Some more stocks of beauty stuff have run to of - Alpha Gold, Revitalash, Jo Malone Red Roses bath oil, Aveda body lotion, REN rose body lotion

Book tokens / Amazon vouchers

New PJs

...but sadly we dont do adult Christmas presents in our family, so I shall have to buy these myself in the January sales! Grin

phoenix1973 · 10/11/2015 20:58

A part-time job Monday to Friday between the hours of 0830 and 1430. I may as well ask for the moon on a stick.

toddlerwrangling · 10/11/2015 21:02

Some Prada parfum d'Iris. My mum and dad might get me some of this I think, if I ask nicely.

I'd love some jewellery, nothing real, just a plain piece of costume jewellery, maybe some earrings. I haven't worn any really since DD (3) was born and I'd love to start wearing some jewellery again. Some little pearl drops on small gold hoops might be nice, a friend of mine has some like that and I always admire them. I think I'll have to start looking and hinting to DH.... Oh, except we already agreed on token gifts this year. Bums!

SheGotAllDaMoves · 10/11/2015 21:03

I need new wellies.
Mine are leaking atrociously.

I'd also like a cashmere blanket to snuggle under when I'm watching True BloodGrin.

doublechocchip · 10/11/2015 21:13

A fit bit
Kindle vouchers
Clean cotton or vanilla type Yankee candles
A le creuset skillet pan in volcanic
Ugg slippers
Mac foundation
Anastasia contouring kit
Cadburys
Bravissimo vouchers
Taekwondo sparring kit (they're surprisingly expensive and I feel too guilty to buy myself one)

I love thinking of wish lists!

TheBitterBoy · 10/11/2015 21:48

I would like a dolce gusto coffee maker and a contigo travel mug.
Lots of books, including Bill Bryson's and Anne Tyler's new ones.
Bamboo socks - I love them

GoboTheGoat · 10/11/2015 22:05

Ooh a salt pig. In the shape of an actual pig. That would be cool. Whether I would use it or not I'm not sure. Actually, I might get salt and pepper shakers and a toast rack. But then he will tell me off and make me just buy those as technically they are for the house. :o

Oh and whoever said tequila, you have reminded me I wanted to try Lidl's Limoncello. I wonder if they still have it.

Lindt chocs are going on the list.

A dressing gown is a great idea.

toddlerwrangling I love your username. I recently wore earrings for the first time since DD1 was born, almost 7 years ago now, and I kept catching myself in the mirror and admiring them. :o Maybe I should start wearing jewellery again too.

Love hearing all of these.

Bare Minerals make up
New jammies
Nashville soundtrack
Necklace (something unusual)
Book tokens
Nice photo frame
A long piece of art (serendipity plays a part here)
Money for new clothes (plus someone to tell me what to buy and help me throw out all the old ones)
A cleaner
A babysitter
Magazine subscription
Cookery books (like I really need more...)

I don't want much, eh?!

WanderingTrolley1 · 10/11/2015 22:26

A break. Some rest.

Anaffaquine · 10/11/2015 22:29

Old family VHS transferred to DVDs
Perfume
Curling wand

Actually don't want him to spend too much so one of any of the above would be fab. We are going to be building an extension next year so I want our pennies to go towards that!

SleepyForest · 10/11/2015 22:50

I always ask for theatre vouchers. I love going to the theatre but the tickets are so expensive that I don't feel I can justify going as often as I like.

I hate filling the house up with "stuff", I don't wear make up or jewellery, I don't drink, I'm usually on a diet of some kind and scented candles set off my lungs. I am the worst person to buy for!

gruffaloshmuffalo · 10/11/2015 22:53

purple I have a Peter Pan one and I love it

BoboChic · 11/11/2015 07:59

I haven't put my mind to it. However, DP told me the other day that his father had told him that he was negligent and didn't give me enough jewellery :))

ItsaTenfromDen · 11/11/2015 09:50

Ideally not to be working over the christmas period. Currently have christmas day off. (luckier than some) Hence why I am trying to get all the shopping, wrapping etc etc out of the way asap. Fortunately DH is a good cook and will be helping cooking dinner

A new purse, my trusty old radley is on its last legs, some new carpet slippers, and that's it

Bombaybunty · 11/11/2015 10:23

A bottle of perfume and a big, solid pestle & mortar.

I'm easily pleased!

OwlAtEase · 11/11/2015 10:24

Some ideas I've given out this year for my birthday/Christmas:

Bed socks
Silver bracelet
A watch
Colouring books
A new dress
Massage voucher
Green vase
Brown leather satchel bag
Green plant pots
Some plants for the garden

My birthday is only 3 weeks before Christmas so I always have to suggest a lot of things!
