hunkermunker · 30/11/2006 21:44

I have had an enormous box of goodies today from an incredibly generous MNer - lots of toys and books that both DSs will love, two gorgeous Gap coats (DS1 will probably fit the smaller one now, then by the time he fits the bigger one, DS2 will fit the smaller one - perfect!) and some lovely other clothes, plus pressies for DH and me and a Tesco giftcard, paper and tags - I am utterly overwhelmed that somebody has been so thoughtful and kind to us! So MNer V with a DS B - lots of happy thoughts and thank yous from the Hunker household this Christmas (I've even forgotten to do paragraphs this post so far, so I must be in a tizz!). I would love to be able to send you a card this Christmas - if you would like me to, please email me your address - to hunkermunker at gmail dot com - you're an angel!

I can't believe I was nominated - thank you so much to whoever did I've had a rough year this year - it really does mean so much to be thought of kindly.

And I'd like to say a public thank you to another incredible MNer - I was the recipient of the secret email Soapy sent and posted as AmazedAndVERYHappy. sophiewd, thank you very, very much for the incredibly generous offer of a week in your B&B - you don't know what that has meant to us, you really, really don't. Looking forward to seeing you in May Hope you don't mind me spilling the secret but I've been bursting to tell!!

corrina28 · 30/11/2006 21:52

peshassanta · 30/11/2006 21:57

Pesha, I am so glad you received your parcel today. I have had a hard week myself and seeing your message has really cheered me up tonight

Soapbox has organised something truly amazing

nappyaddict · 30/11/2006 23:46

thankyou so so so so much for whoever jo& family are that sent me those morrisons vouchers and the 2 presents for toby-jack. i really didn't expect so much, i feel a little bit as i though i can't accept so much - it was such a huge amount. if that was you email me tobys_mummy at btinternet.com would love to send a little thankyou in return. had me in tears!! i didn't look at the back so didn't realise it was a MN thing and it was such a suprise when i opened. that will more than sort out xmas dinner and i think even buy a nice couple of boxes of choccies and wine. thankyou so so so so so much you don't know what this means to me.

Fattymumma · 30/11/2006 23:55

Now that i am calm enough to type, I want to say another huge thank you ( why does that just not seem enough??) to JENSTER for your gifts, they will remain wrapped and the children can open them on christmas morning.

and Lamblossom for the note informing me of the fact that you have ordered things for my two.

This really is overwhelming. i had no idea i had been nominated so when i recived the voucher yesterday i was really touched but to have these two today....im just amazed. i cannot find the words to show my gratitude. You really have made this year an absolute miracle year.

Thank you both, and again thank you to the person who put my name forward...and an enormous thank you to Soapy....you are an angel on earth you really are.

ratclare · 01/12/2006 08:04

just read the thankyou from my reciever and i would like to add that the slides are brand new ,just had to remove from packaging to fit envelope ! So glad the vouchers were ok ,because i was starting to feel really guilty that i hadnt had chance to buy gifts and wrap them like other mners . Now have truly glorious wet pant feeling !

Received your presents for ds today, thank you so much! I have to admit I had a peep, big kid that I am. You couldn't have chosen better- he will love them, so a big thank you once again

mummyhill · 01/12/2006 11:05

MJ with DD N and DS C is without internet access at the momment as it is a fair track for her to get to uni to check her messages etc. However I have just spoken to her on the phone and she would like to thank the very kind Mums/families who sent ELC and Boots vouchers for the children from SANTA and MUMSNET.

Nutcracker

I am not sure if you saw my post on the other thread as there are always so many posts on there.

I have ordered PJ's for all 3 children from Vertbaudet, so they can have nice new jarmies on Christmas eve, so keep your eye out for them as you will need to sign for them.

CaptainDippy · 01/12/2006 12:09

SatinShoes!!

OMGosh!!

I had a lovely box of goodies this morning - some gorgeous clothes for the DD's, some lovely books (even one for me!!) and a computerised educational game playing sort of thing (she even remembered to put batteries in!) Her sweet little DD had contributed a Teletubbies hand puppet too.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

We all really appreciate your generousity and kindness.......

ItsTheThoughtThatCounts · 01/12/2006 12:19

A massive thank you to MNer E for the vouchers, cards and paper that arrived this morning [overwhelmed]

It really was a fantastic surprise and you have helped our Christmas be something to look forward to rather than something to be anxious about! Merry Christmas! x x x

Miaou · 01/12/2006 12:35

Thankyou supermarketsanta!!!!! Am already planning on getting a big tin of Quality Street - it just isn't Christmas without one and I really didn't think we would be able to get one this year!!!

You are lovely {{{warm fuzzy feeling}}}

ludaloo · 01/12/2006 12:52

I'm so pleased it arrived ok!
Have a lovely christmas xxxx

embarrassed2askhencenamechange · 01/12/2006 12:53

Erm - not on here looking for thanks, really I'm not. But don't recognise any of the messages on this thread and just want to know that parcels that were posted on Tuesday have arrived - because if not and someone's missing out I need to hassle the Post Office, claim comp and resend. Have had Christmas presents stolen during transit via Royal Mail in the past so am nervous it's happened again. So if you've received something from someone (yeah I know, not really pinning it down am I) and you haven't yet confirmed here, could you please do so....I really don't want someone to get a nice warm feelling hearing they've been nominated and then nothing to turn up IYKWIM.
Neurosis over;)
