thanks to all our givers! You all know who you are!
I was able to fill a stocking for my eldest, buying me a little longer in bed and the lounge was absolutely full of gifts. The poor little mite got tired opening all his presents and has just finished opening them all now! lol
paula- he is over the moon with the discovery tree and the huge fire truck especially! he sits on it and bombs around the longe chasing the dogs on it!
i was absolutley astounded at the beautiful gifts you sent for me! the handbag and purse are absolutely lovely and my mum is desperate to get her hands on the shawl! we all went out for a walk yesterday so i could show it all off!
i hope you and yours had a lovely christmas too, you definately made ours. x try not to get too stressed about the other parcel with your precious cargo on board! it was very very naughty to spoil my little men so much if you are expecting another babe!
have a lovely new year and keep your eyes peeled for your thankyou card!!

sarahinphuket · 26/12/2006 14:04

Misdee did you get a parcel from Thailand yet? I'm sure it should have got there... bloody post!

CranberryJelley · 26/12/2006 15:33

Thankyou again to all my givers.
we have had a wonderful christmas. DD2 loved the doll party playset, and it was magical watching them open presents when I had no idea what they were.
Everything was great. DD1 has worn both her new belts non stop.

Thankyou also to my voucher givers.

we have had a great, mumsnet christmas in the jelley house.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 26/12/2006 16:35

SueQ · 26/12/2006 21:25

Pauline in Scotland, Fubsy and Abi in Greenfield. The dc loved all the gifts that you sent. My dd couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the size of the pile of parcels that she had to open on Christmas morning! (And neither could I the night before!) She had to put the clothes on immediately that you sent Pauline, she really loved the belt - which looked gorgeous on her, really matched her colouring (blond with blue eyes). She put the keys to her diary on the lovely star keyring (after she had done some 'secret' writing!). Abi, she didn't put Snow White down all day - she even ate with us, and the Clickets went down a storm and she really loves fairies and ballet. Fubsy, my dd loves drawing but isn't very good at it yet so your gift was perfect and will really help to boost her confidence. Pauline, how did you know that my ds loves monkeys! he takes one to bed with him every night. His other favourite thing is cars, and he has been thoroughly enjoying yours - we only put the batteries in this afternoon, he was having so much fun just pushing it around (it's the biggest one that he's got) he too had his clothes on straight away and they too looked lovely on him, he's also blond with blue eyes. Fubsy the mirror was brilliant and he spent the first hour licking and biting it, which it survived unblemished amazingly! Abi the alphabet computer thingy had him bemused for ages, we used it as a distraction to get him to eat his dinner - it worked a treat, so thank you. Pauline we used the crackers that you sent yesterday and today and there are a couple left over. And thank you all for my gifts they were fantastic, what a lovely treat to be pampered. I have had 2 wonderful baths thanks to Abi and Pauline and thank you too Pauline for the PJ's and the handbag and the purse and the - gosh there was just so much Pauline thank you you are too generous. And Fubsy I love Delia Smith and I particualry love her puddings so a big thank you to you. And thank you for the chocolates (I'm starting to feel like I'm at the Oscars or something - ah yes the mumsnet awards - except you should be getting an award for your kindness and generosity. Thank you all, we have had a really brilliant Christmas, it has been so exciting and not just on the day but the whole of December - mumsnet has made it wonderful, so a very special Thank You to Soapy without whom none of this would have happened. (funny, I feel like putting xxxxxxxxx!)

PinkTinsel · 27/12/2006 00:26

right, here's my proper thank you to all my giver, apologies in advance if i leave anything out!

berrycherry... dd opened her tellytubbies toady and is ecstatic all we heard til she went to bed was 'tubby-tubby, tubby-tubby', and i'm ecstatic about the books, she was read the polar bear one before bed and i had the biggest grin on my face we still haven't been up to my parents so we can go on our night out... next week hopefully, i'm dying to see a film on the big screen again, it's been almost 2 years!

A from ireland, ds is sitting in front of me chewing on his soft book, his face lit up when we showed him and dd loved her fairytale book, wait til she realises there's a cd to listen to aswell! we used the money and voucher to get her a 'my first baby annabel' doll and him a hefalump toy.... both of which are in danger of being cuddled to death. (the pyjamas have been in use since we got the package as we had none that fit, thank you) and i'm planning a long soak with my smellies tomorrow!

peachy (guessed it was you and want everyone to know how generous you've been to us) the dress is so incredibly gorgeous on her, she looked like a little angel and she kept spinning round to make it twirl we haven't shown her the dvd yet as she's been too hyper to sit down at the pc and watch it but i'm sure it'll go down fantastically (dp and i love the incredibles so can't wait to see what she thinks!). caleb had his first ever xmas dinner (he sucked on a chunk of duck and ate some carrot) wearing his bib and it will go into his memory box after xmas.... want to get a bit more use out of it first! i can't believe you got it with his name on, we can never find things with caleb on as it's not a very common name. i've only devoured half the choclate bar as i'm trying to make it last, lol. missy loves her chocalates and had them for breakfast yesterday (well if you can't at xmas when can you!) she rarely gets chocolate so it was a real treat for her.

my mystery m&s voucher sender, we got a real haul with the vouchers and it all went down a treat, especially a wooden pull along monkey she picked herself.... she opened that one on xmas eve after mass and it had to come to bed with her. we also got some lovely books and puzzles. thank you

and to my book voucher sender .... i'm heading to town tomorrow to pick a couple of books for her, she really loves her stories and demands we read her books all day long and it'll be so nice to have a bit more variety for mommy and daddy's sanity!

THANK YOU ALL

THANK YOU to whoever sent me that WINE from the most beautiful region in France!

Hmmm. How could you have guessed?

Was it all those times I answered the 'Where would you live if you could live anywhere' 'Where would you retire if you could retire anywhere?' 'Where would you holiday if you could holiday anywhere?' threads w/the same response?

B/c the only reasonable answer is always BOURDEAUX. Bien sur.

If you don't know that, you must go over there and find out for yourself! .

Go for a boat float on the Gironde - so lush the trees cover the river in spots, like a canopy, look at the houses on the shore, sip the wine, and know in your heart that 'there are grains of truth in the wildest fable', b/c this is fairytale land!

SpaceCadet · 27/12/2006 16:17

Expat - phew! Thought you might be a bit annoyed at tracking your address down

The wine came from helenmadwife - I shared it out between you, flatturkey and someone else (who I can't remember off the top of my head).

Big thanks to Floss who co-ordinated picking it up in Bristol - and thanks to Mr Helen who brought it over to France and Helen too of course

andaSOAPBOXinapeartree · 27/12/2006 16:32

Over from France - I do believe they are lucky enough to live there too Expat!

A message for SANTA ANN***

Finally took delivery of your parcel at the weekend! My parents stayed at my brother's house over Christmas and brought the buggy and the box over to us on Sunday.

I just want to say thank you so much for the lovely thoughtful gifts - the things you sent were just right for each of my dcs, and how lovely of you to include a present for the baby-to-be!! We were all thrilled, thank you so much. (I haven't checked the buggy yet but I am sure it is fine - can't open it out in our hall at the moment!!!
