We really have had the best christmas because of you

Pinkchampagne · 25/12/2006 17:25

Thank you so much to whoever sent the Bob the builder tool kit & the Robo Bugs to my boys. They are over the moon with them & playing away upstairs with them right now!
Thank you so much to whoever sent them - you are so kind & generous.

mumofmonstersNotActuallyHere · 25/12/2006 17:51

i just want to say a huge thank you to ALLgivers, not just mine (for they are extra special;) )

This xmas has been the happiest i have had since i can remember, the joy on my boys faces was incredible when we were able to supplement the few things we had bought with the gifts that were sent. With everyones joy at sending gifts it has shownme that xmasreally can be nice and that it doesn't involve anything horrible. (this isnt the thread for all that). Usually i dread xmas because of what it symbolises for me but i have beenreally quite happy today without the usual "stuff" in the background.

sorry,am waffling now but u get what i am trying to say!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/12/2006 19:46

Thank you to all the wonderful senders.
We have had a really great day. Enjoyed by all and they loved everything.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 25/12/2006 19:48

FairyTaleOfNewYork My DD1 has just grown out of most of her 3-4 clothes so if the clothes you were sent are 4-5 i'd be happy to give you some money for them so you can buy the right size for your DD.(And If your sender would be ok with that too of course)

Nemoinapeartree · 25/12/2006 21:44

Can I say a huge thanks to all who sent to the nemo household..ds was ecstatic..a special thanks to F with M and Z who sent us stuff seperately and basically filled the stockings of ds and dd. Ds loved all the bits in the stocking but particulalrly the soaps and the pjs..thank you sooooooooo much.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 25/12/2006 21:51

they were 3-4 nemo. they are very pretty peices, and wont date, so i am going to store them for dd3, tho at the rate she is growing it will be 6 years before she gets big enough.

AnotherSantaForMISDEE · 25/12/2006 21:58

Bums Misdee . Sparkly told me your dd2 was 3!??!!? But I did wonder if they'd be too small after I sent them, as I looked at your blog and your dd2 looked easily as big as my dd2 (who is too big now for what I sent). I hope dd2 wasn't too disappointed, and that they will come in for dd3.

Hope all the other stuff was OK and that you had a lovely day.

Oh, and glad you got the Amazon voucher.

Hugs and HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Santa!

AnotherSantaForMISDEE · 25/12/2006 22:01

Actually... she may have said 4... Don't want to get her into trouble on Christmas Day! (Sorry Sparkly... and thanks for the help!)

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 25/12/2006 22:02

lol, dd2 turned 4 in sept, but she is a very tall girl. usually sparkly is good at forewarning people buying surprise clothes to get the same size as dd1. I love the wooly type dress, I am thinking if it still zips up (dd2 is quite skinny now) then she can wear it over a pair of trousers and long sleeved top. They are beutiful dresses, so thank you very very much. peter hasnt looked on amazon yet, but i think he has a list of some dvds he would like. thank you ever so much.

AnotherSantaForMISDEE · 25/12/2006 22:06

LOL! I have the opposite problem. My parents bought dd1 a tunic top for Christmas and she's been wearing it all day with just a pair of tights as a dress! That dress would look lovely over trousers, though! (I didn't tell Sparkly what I was sending, so she wouldn't have thought to warn me....)

Enjoy the rest of the day. I am logging off now. (And going to go for a little sit down and some peace and quiet! Blies!)

AnotherSantaForMISDEE · 25/12/2006 22:07

Blies????

Have been on the Christmas bubbly ... hic!

AnotherSantaForMISDEE · 25/12/2006 22:07

I meant 'bliss', obviously!

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 25/12/2006 22:20

oh and the soft doll and my little pony bag was a hit!

the other stuff from L went into stocking fillers, and dd2 loved the winnie the pooh case. some of the stuff from hula got wrapped up anhd given, but they had so so much under the tree i have held some back for the following weeks, and the undoubtly long stay dh will be facing after transplant.

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 26/12/2006 00:10

I am sooo I have no idea now who it was that sent me the bracelets, but they are lovely - thank you sooo much!!!

My DD was sooo pleased with everything - you are all fabulous!

SparklyXmasKat · 26/12/2006 00:27

To My mumsnet Santa thank you for D's Dino Puzzle her will love it.

To the children with initials S&C (2 girls I believe) D will love all the toddler puzzles, DH was a bit confused abou the box they came in bless him. N loves the Petter Rabbitt Board Game we shall spend many hours playing it.

WAGS -The tops went down a treat as did the chunky car transporter and the vanity set.

Lapinrose - D loves the Thomas sit and ride, his sister isn't so impressed as he keeps ramming her with it (Hee hee hee hee) I think he is getting his own back on her as she tends to push him around a bit.

Lost track of who sent me what but thanks again for all the vouchers we received, the food parcel with all the cookies and the beef jerky, Karmatherapy kit ( much needed eith all the stresses we have had recently) and the botanics bits. It has been a wonderful christmas (soo much better than I was expecting).

Thank you to Soapbox and all the other givers from the bottom of my heart you have made this a christmas to remember for all of us.

Thanks for reading the essay.
