EP in Sutton Coldfield - did you get a parcel from Helena aka Mumpbump? Haven't seen anything on here and worried that it has gone astray in the Christmas post...

Picked up a big parcel from the post office this morning, balancing it home on ds's buggy... all very mysterious... Oh WOW! Thank you! I wasn't expecting to receive anything else and am . ds will love the cube and radio, the socks'll come in really useful and I'm over the moon about the Soap & Glory stuff... always feel I have to save on pampering myself so it really is fantastic for me to get all that. Thank you so much! [teary ] Please CAT or email me your address so I can reciprocate in a small way.

Thanks Soapy for the little gifts and sweets! They'll make brilliant stocking fillers!

We've not had to spend that much this Christmas because of this scheme, which is just as well as dh lost his job the other day. So thanks to all the givers - you've made lots of Christmasses really special!

Well I got a 2nd parcel today, full of decorations, Organix items, a couple of toys for DS (a really nice puzzle and a toy CD player)and 3 bottles of wine (1 red, 2 white).

Soapbox thank-you, not much else I can say really especially as I became a reciever so late on.

Love to you and yours xxx

piximon · 22/12/2006 13:52

Thank you Jessica in America for the twins things you sent. I can't believe you make them yourself!!! I love them and the fabrics. DS1 was bought a top by my cousin in the same dinosaur fabric and hasn't taken it off since she gave it to him. I'll have to keep an eye he doesn't nab the bib and cloths!

Soapy and all of the givers have made a real difference this year and I'd like to wish you all a wonderful xmas and new year.

SpaceCadet · 22/12/2006 14:00

Batters, you sent your parcel 2 weeks ago? Well, that probably means my receiver won't get my parcel.

nutcracker · 22/12/2006 21:24

A huge thankyou to the giver who sent the netball thingy, have hidden it and will give it to the kids a few days after xmas when they are moaning they have nothing to do, and they can run round playing with it and tire themselves out

Thankyou xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

LadyOfThePoinsettias · 23/12/2006 00:23

Ok. I am back again and now much more composed than I was when the parcels arrived. Thanks so so much from the bottom of our hearts. I opened the first box only to burst into tears at the sight of all the lovely toys inside. Especially the ones for my youngest as we hadn't bought him anything as he is so young and spent the little bit we did have on our eldest. He is just becoming more interactive too so it will be lovely to be able to give him some nice things which will be truly his and not what used to belong to his brother. It is also so lovely that 2 gifts for me were included. I'm so excited, they are so beautifully wrapped with real ribbons and tissue paper, they look really special like display presents in a department store window! I have never been given a present that looks like those!
I'm not going to list all that was included as I will start crying again and I need to hit the hay! It is all so overwhelming. We have safely hidden it all away in the wardrobe until the boys next go to see Granny, then DH and I can wrap them together. The vouchers will also come in very handy as the bank did me over yesterday and took money from my account without my authority- they took my Child Benefit ffs. Anyway- a massive weight has been lifted from my mind now, my two boys will be totally spoilt, but they deserve it, they are the light of my life and ow they will get a really lovely Crimbo they deserve, all thanks to Paula and her family.
Thanks so much.
xXx

zipzip · 23/12/2006 11:06

Thank you very very very much to S and her brood in Brighton.
H was here when the package arrived and he just exclaimed how wonderful MNetters are. He placed the wrapped gifts under the tree (one for me too!! I am so very grateful and very excited too!) and he spent a long time just looking at the Asda gift card with a big smile on his face wondering out loud what we could get to share

I wish you and your family the happiest Christmas and the best new year.

a HUGE thank you to the anonymous MN Santa who sent a VERY generous £25 mothercare voucher to me for my little one, Alex. I was in such a state when I opened it I cant believe it!!! It will buy him some very much needed items! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am in Coggeshall, Essex, so you know who I am. You can email me at senatorvass at gmail dot com so I can send you a pic of my baby. Much love and Merry Christmas!
