3littlegifts, I'm sure the kids will love the gifts, I meant to say, the Bob lego, J is really into his lego now, so yet again, the perfect gift! The parcel that said 'Happy first Christmas' made me smile - well they all did, every parcel was an 'oh' and an 'oooh' and and 'ah'!!!!!! And no, the parcel wasn't leaking!!!! never mind!

MerryBiglipsmas · 09/12/2006 13:09

what is Soapy's email addy pls?

flutturkey · 09/12/2006 13:38

Biglips when you get hold of soapy (sorry just deleted her e-mail) I am sure you will be able to help.

I have just had to pull out as a giver so you will be able to send to who I was supposed to be, unfortunately I got made redundant yesterday so Christmas has gone tits up for us!!!!

I hope you get hold of soapy because I feel really guilty about pulling out and it would make me feel much better knowing that this reciever wasn't going to miss out.

oh wow, another big thank you to santa-Ann

I just got your card and letter today, can't tell you how amazed and grateful I am! Your parcel sounds lovely, and thank you so much for the ELC gift cards, we will look forward to spending those!!

I will post again once my brother has confirmed that he has received the parcel - thank you so much for your generosity

SueQ · 09/12/2006 19:58

Thank you to Barbara and to "santa & Mumsnet" (you know who you are!), who have sent us Amazon tokens. I am flabber-festive-ghasted! I was overwhelmed by Fubsy's genorosity but you are all mummy christmases, Santa must be on his hols! Thank you so, so, so, so very much

CranberryJelley · 09/12/2006 20:43

A massive thankyou to J and her four dc, from G and her 3.

I've just opened a large box full of lovely things for my children, and some wrapped presents for mummy from santa. There is so much I am a bit overwhelmed, and then I discovered gift cards as well.

You have made such a difference to our christmas. The kindness of all strangers has amazed me. My faith in humanity has been totally restored by this entire venture.

Thankyou again, J, and all the givers.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 09/12/2006 20:55

I just wanted to check if S-L R with DD A and DD T had recieved the girls clothes i sent? I have looked through the messages but i can't see anything. It was sent using the Ebay courier service and tracking on the website says delivered.
Please let me know. Thanks.

zipzip · 09/12/2006 21:31

No matter how hard I try I just can not find words enough to express my thanks.
Please be assured that the following feeble words come straight from the heart of an extremely grateful mum.

Thank you to the santa who sent my son the Casino Royale posters. I?m sorry I can?t get to the packages to search for clues of your i.d. but H (in Leeds) is still awake and I don?t want to spoil the surprise that awaits him xmas morning when he sees these posters. He is going to love them so much!!!

Thank you to A and T (London) for the fantastic box full of goodies. I showed the party food to H and he did a song and dance?.we?re going to have a par ? tay! We?re going to have a par-tay! It?s just so lovely to be able to say ?yes? to his begging for a little xmas party. I?ve wrapped the model car for him ? he will love it!! AND a gift for me!! I?m like a big kid myself now ? I can?t wait to open it!
When your parcel from Amazon arrived this morning I was just so taken aback. (I also realised all too late that I opened the door to the postman in my PJs ? that?s me wearing the PJs not the postman I wondered why he had a silly grin on his face while I was signing)
When H saw the big box I told him it was from a kind mum on mumsnet. His reaction?... ?oh wow! Oh My! Right that?s it. We are really going to save up next year and send some presents to other children?

My dad phoned me this morning. he took ill during the week. I told him all about this and I could hear his voice crack. He said "All I ever hear is the bad stuff about the internet but now I know that there is an amazing good side to it. What wonderful people these people are on mumsnet, my faith has been restored." he went on to say "This news has cheered me up no end and has done me more good than any doctor can. Please say thank you to them all"
Dad has been going through a rough time and is suffering terribly with stress. His sight temporarily went during the week due to this stress.
So a big thank you to you all from my dad. Hearing about you all has made him happier than any pill could.

Moonpie · 09/12/2006 22:11

This keeps surprising me. To Sarah from I don't know where who sent a card to A and daughter S in H. Thanks so much. I was so shocked and surprised. You said it wasn't much but I can tell you it will make a difference for us. Thank you so much.

fussymummy · 09/12/2006 23:16

zipzip so sorry that your Dad is poorly.

But i'm so pleased that MN bought a smile to his face.

Send him the love of all the MN's and wish him well. xx

flutturkey · 09/12/2006 23:20

Thanks for the concern. We will be fine for Christmas.

DS is only 1 so doesn't really know whats happening, we got him a little somethinmg last week (thank-god) and that will do.

DH and I have just had a long chat and we just aren't going to get each other anything this year, no point buying on credit cards when you can't pay it back.

We have decorations from last Christmas and will be having Christmas lunch at my brothers. As for the rest of the food we will just get some stuff in for a nice roast to have together Christmas week. At least I won't be putting on as much weight as I thought I would

I know our Christmas probably sounds very sad and un-christmassy to some but honestly I have my husband and son and really couldn't care for much else (now if DS had been older I would be distraught).

Biglips hope you get those details of soapy as I really am feeling guilty for pulling out

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy · 10/12/2006 09:57

flutterturkey - Sorry to hear your bad news. Don't feel guilty about pulling out you had no control over the circumstances.

puccaupunderthemistletoe · 10/12/2006 13:34

NUTCRACKER

My broadband has been down so have only just seen your message, i have ordered some more so let me know when they turn up.

xxx

andaSOAPBOXinapeartree · 10/12/2006 15:07

Flatturkey - don't worry I will reallocate that person to someone else.

Biglips - got your email - will try and find someone to match you to

Well you should see the two huge boxes of sweets that these kind folks have just donated - the fvourite sweetshop

My DCs eyes were on gobstoppers when they arrived - a huge thanks for their help

I am waiting for three more deliveries from sponsors - the bakery, GLTC and Verbaudet. They are all due by Wes/Thur this week and then I can get packaged up and sent out. So most people on the list should get a small stocking pack with sweeties, small toys etc in. But it will arrive very close to Christmas I suspect!

As soon as the packaging arrives then I will get the Christmas trees out - as I know you will be waiting on them

fluppy · 10/12/2006 15:15

MerryBiglipsmas, you are so welcome. I hope you all have a lovely xmas!

nutcracker · 10/12/2006 15:33

Awww Pucca thats so sweet of you, thankyou so much.

Can't wait to take a pic of them all in their new pj's on xmas eve

JARMgotstuckupthechimney · 10/12/2006 15:38

Huge thank you to Aimsmum

Your parcel arrived yesterday and it was fabby! A few more bits for the girls, and especially the winter coats - its so cold now and the coats i did have dont fit! So this has come just at the right time - and they fit the girls perfectly with a little room to grow over the next few months!

I can now take the girls out for a proper walk and not worry about them getting cold!!!

THANKYOU! xxx

paulaplumpbottom · 10/12/2006 17:16

Raggydoll · 10/12/2006 18:33
