soapbox · 24/11/2006 19:27

I thought I had better start a new thread in case the old one falls over at 1000 posts.

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have helped make this a huge success Thanks to all of you, life will be a little bit easier for some of our MNetters this year!

Firstly all of the MNetters - without you this would only have been a pipe dream! Givers and receivers - all take a bow

Then the corporates:
GLTC - for going well beyond the call of duty
Hazell -www.verko.co.uk- for her most generous offer of christmas trees - I hope you join in and make some new friends here
Great expectations - a lovely company with wonderful fairtraded toys and again help beyond what was expected.
LCC - to Jaysmummy for her crafty goodies and warm hearted support
www.thesweetiestop.co.uk - for their generous support

And of course it goes almost without saying, MNHQ!

**

How it works:

You email me:

[email protected]

as a giver or receiver. If a receiver I will ask for a bit more information to find a good match for you. If a giver I will find someone for you to send your gift to.

All matches to be done by 30 November (did I really promise that)

All gifts to be posted by 15 December (at the latest).

OP posts:

mummyhill · 30/11/2006 14:39

Soapy - I cannot thank you and everyone else involved in this enough.

Christmas was looking prety dire this year till you steped in. A lot of stuff has happened this year that I haven't even discussed with family and friends or even posted about on here. The stuff that I have posted about or discussed in real life is just the tip of the Iceberg IYSWIM. I am completly gob smacked by it all though.

The most any of us was expecting was a few previousley loved items for the children and you have all far exceeded that.

Heartfelt thanks to all of you may you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Soapythelistmaker · 30/11/2006 14:42

Cloditz - you may have to be a bit more specific that that - you might have more than one Santa

I'm glad all of you are enjoying yourselves- I must admit it all seems a bit of a blur to me now!

Need to sort out the christmas cakes though - the cleaner was in today when the bakers tried to deliver them, but they had my sisters name on them not mine, which she didn't recognise - so she promptly sent them back again

Standrewssaltire · 30/11/2006 14:48

soapy, i sent you an email with a wee query in it!

Standrewssaltire · 30/11/2006 14:49

welshmum · 30/11/2006 14:50

Soapythelistmaker · 30/11/2006 15:36

comebacksummer · 30/11/2006 16:43

Piximon- just responded to your lovely thankyou message on the other thread- SO glad the parcel arrived (my faith in the postal service has been restored) and the girls and I really really hope there's something in there that will appeal to each of your lovely little ones- the girls did try hard to find some boy things too! (although they find pink and fluffy very easy as you will see- sorry if some of the things are a bit too girly!!!) Wishing you the best of luck with the twins- you superwoman you- and hope you have an utterly brilliant Christmas- as I've said before you have totally made mine by getting my little ones involved in the spirit of giving...
all love, comebacksummer xx
