soapbox · 24/11/2006 19:27

I thought I had better start a new thread in case the old one falls over at 1000 posts.

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have helped make this a huge success Thanks to all of you, life will be a little bit easier for some of our MNetters this year!

Firstly all of the MNetters - without you this would only have been a pipe dream! Givers and receivers - all take a bow

Then the corporates:
GLTC - for going well beyond the call of duty
Hazell -www.verko.co.uk- for her most generous offer of christmas trees - I hope you join in and make some new friends here
Great expectations - a lovely company with wonderful fairtraded toys and again help beyond what was expected.
LCC - to Jaysmummy for her crafty goodies and warm hearted support
www.thesweetiestop.co.uk - for their generous support

And of course it goes almost without saying, MNHQ!

**

How it works:

You email me:

[email protected]

as a giver or receiver. If a receiver I will ask for a bit more information to find a good match for you. If a giver I will find someone for you to send your gift to.

All matches to be done by 30 November (did I really promise that)

All gifts to be posted by 15 December (at the latest).

OP posts:

lisalisa I asked for 2nd hand stuff..newborn bits in fact as after having DD I seem to have given away all my newborn clothes[obviously not expecting to be pg again so soon.] I think people are sending mixes of things depending on what people said they needed.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/11/2006 22:48

Siblings, by default, get things second hand tortoise. Its absolutely fine. My DS's clothes have been pretty much 90% second hand from a friend of mine. Its been an absolute godsend.

Flamesparrow · 30/11/2006 08:21

Very very excited for Hovely's reciever!!!

(Isn't it great when you know the initials?? )

comebacksummer · 30/11/2006 08:33

piximon, just seen you on the thankyou thread and your initials are the same as my secretsantees- if you live in London and have an unusual first name I suspect I may be another secret santa- I only posted our gifts the day before yesterday but I hope you get them soon! My dds made me cry as they were so enthusiastic about the whole process, so I hope your lo's have a super Christmas as you have made ours by allowing me to show my dds the true meaning of Christmas! If it's not you, the same applies to whoever the v and c with 2 + 2 kids are!
Thanks and Happy Christmas everyone, especially Angel Soapy (wanders off feeling very jolly)

Standrewssaltire · 30/11/2006 08:46

lisalisa, i don't know my receivee's MN name either, just her RL name and the names of her LO's. I just got my matching email and am sending it off next week.
If she is reading, and her name begins with C, and has DC beginning with J and A, who are 8 and 6, and lives in Kent, then it will be next week as we all have tummy bugs!!

piximon · 30/11/2006 09:01

comebacksummer, I have left a post for you on the thanks thread. I really cannot express my gratitude, words are not enough.

secretyorkshiresanta · 30/11/2006 09:09
