Just to let Mum A (with children A, A, C & N) know that I sent a parcel (to be signed for) yesterday so hoping it will arrive today at some point. Hope it will make Xmas a little cheerier!

To Mummy A for DD S aged 7 we're just putting the finishing touches to the present and it will be sent off by Saturday morning at the latest

I'm just sorry my offer of help came too late as I would have been delighted to send something.

However, I have a special family in mind who really need some cheer this christmas (the daddy is dying) and will be gifting some bundles for them so at least I can help somewhere along the line.

I love this thread though and i can see it becoming a MN staple..... incredibly well done soapy (and all) for keeping the true spirit of christmas alive.

Hi if you are "G" in essex with dd "J" and dd"E" and ds "L" - parcel is leaving us tomorrow with lots of love for a very happy christmas, i have only wrapped some stuff as htough you could divvy up pressies betweenthem as you want, have marked box "mumsnet" so don't open infront of the children as not all pressies wrapped. love mummydoc and the baby docs !

i sent my card to L with J, J, and E, on monday, hope its arrived ok

To Soapbox: Just thought I'd share this. I told some girlfriends of mine about what you'd organised and one of them emailed me back saying.

"I am on the edge here... its like something out of a Christmas film. I agree, that is really lovely - shows genuine humanity which you don't see too much of these days."

And another: "That made me cry its so nice and so sad. Bless that woman who organised
