Does anyone know if the build a bear thing is in store as well as online?

RJnomaaaaaargh · 20/08/2015 21:40

And if not does anyone know if you order online do they come in the carrier boxes? I want a toothless for dds 16th from dd2 and I would like princess Luna mlp for dd2 birthday but Luna is out of stock online

RosieBdy · 20/08/2015 21:49

Yes, it's in store too - just says til stock lasts on email...
Don't know about boxes if you order online, sorry.

issynoho · 20/08/2015 21:54

Our online Build a Bear came in a box 2 years ago.

RJnomaaaaaargh · 20/08/2015 22:12

Fab thanks both

Thelonius · 20/08/2015 22:58

This isn't a bargain as such but might come in useful for anyone doing an advent calendar with tiny pockets/drawers.
At the moment, if you spend £10 in Lidl you receive a free collectible Stikeez. They are really tiny but quite cuteSmile they've even got their own app

babsmam · 21/08/2015 07:16

The build a bear come in a box with a birth certificate to fill in. £4 delivery and try as I might I've never been able to get free delivery

babsmam · 21/08/2015 07:18

By box I meant the white and blue carry box thing inside the cardboard delivery box. At least they did at easter. Sorry stupid brain this week

tropicalphilosophical · 21/08/2015 08:06

Lots of reduced thortons gift sets

www.thorntons.co.uk/product/Hampers/Gift-Collections/Thorntons-Signature-Gift-Bundle/pc/2390/c/2564/939.uts?icid=HPfeatureM_signaturebundle30

This one has been reduced down to £30 I'm going to split it up and use it in different hampers that I'm making

onehellofaride · 21/08/2015 10:49

This Cross pen is nice. It's in the Pen Shop for £60. www.amazon.co.uk/Cross-Century-Medalist-Chrome-3302WG/dp/B000EWS060

GetTheFudgeOutOfRodge · 21/08/2015 10:55

At what age are Build-A-Bears good for?
Soon to be 2 DD is showing an interest in dolls and I'm wondering if the Lalaloopy BaB would be any good?

TheImprobableGirl · 21/08/2015 11:03

Careful with the Thorntons dates. I've been stung with that before!

nickdrakeslovechild · 21/08/2015 12:30

onehellofaride That pen is lovely, my OH has a new job and was thinking of a nice pen. Are they better than Parker??

StDogolphin · 21/08/2015 12:32

Seasalt have some canvas shopping bags in their sale for under £5.

TobleroneBoo · 21/08/2015 13:50

Allbeauty.com are doing an end of season sale if you are after perfumes / make up plus there are codes floating about. Just about to try one for 15% of MIL perfume

onehellofaride · 21/08/2015 14:23

Nickdrake I'm not sure really, I think they are lighter. I just saw it and thought it looked like a nice gift. Doesn't look like we're getting one for FIL though as DH has said no one can get excited about a pen Hmm

snowgirl1 · 21/08/2015 14:48

Nickdrakes I would say that Cross pens are better than Parker pens.

waitrosefizz · 21/08/2015 15:40

This Usborne Children's Picture Atlas looks good for those of enquiring mind - almost half price. Bought one to keep and one for the random gifts pile.

SideOrderofChips · 21/08/2015 16:17

Those of you who ordered through build a bear. did you get a confirmation email or dispatch email?!

OP posts:
TheSkyIsAwake · 21/08/2015 16:33

I haven't. Had to phone build a bear as they didn't take the discount off. They said they'd refund me after dispatch.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 21/08/2015 16:59

just been to build a bear second time this week! (dd's had pocket money to burn!)

they ask for a code from the email to get the discount in store. I didn't have an email but spoke to manager who put it through as its not automatically being deducted even if u are a vip member. so check with manager before building if u haven't got an email Grin

carrietwick · 21/08/2015 17:36

I ordered a build a bear with discount but had a few issues, had to use my laptop in the end and a credit card as I couldn't get payment to go through on my usual card.

carrietwick · 21/08/2015 17:37

And I did get a confirmation email straight away.

daddykyller · 21/08/2015 18:06

Seen a few good things in the last couple of days:

There's another Flash Sale at Sports Direct
Be quick though - ends midnight on Saturday 22nd August

There's the Entertainer Buy One Get One For A Penny Sale - I couldn't really see a lot in it myself, bnut others have said there's great bargains. I suppose it depends if what you are looking for is in the sale or not.

There's this ELC Wooden Castle -There's a massive price drop on it at Boots
It says it was £80 and is now £24 (or 2,400 points)
So a saving of £56
It's part of a big toy sale online at Boots
Up to 70 percent on selected Toys and Games

The Playmobile Princess Castle is 44% off at Amazon right now

Also on Amazon these calculator watches are just £2.45 - make great little stocking fillers :)

And there are loads of good stuff on the Tesco Direct Clearance section- especially in the toys section
