The countdown to Christmas 2015 has already started. I've ordered some clothes in the next sale so even the present buying has started.

This time I'm more determined to keep buying throughout the year, and keep posting here regularly.

Woooohoooo! Sunshine, beach and Disney I assume?

I'm looking at holidays for October half term otherwise I'll be depressed. I need something to look forward to, this time is so sad when it's all over. Xmas Sad

ChestyTheSnowman · 27/12/2014 20:28

I know January makes me sad.

Yes Disney, Universal the lot! Xmas Grin

Where are you thinking?

MamaPizza · 27/12/2014 21:28

Awesome!

We want to go to one of the Thomson Splash hotels again, not sure yet though where - Egypt, Turkey or Morocco. As long as it's hot and sunny I don't care.

Guitargirl · 28/12/2014 12:30

Mama - how was your wedding and congratulations!

I have been reading your posts about your Lapland wedding over the last few months as I also took the DCs to Lapland just before Christmas so I was searching for Lapland threads. I hope you had a brilliant time!

MamaPizza · 28/12/2014 13:39

It was AMAZING! And thanks Xmas Smile

There are some pics on one of the sleeps, hang on let me look in my watch list.

Here they are Still waiting for professional pics, they'd better be good.

I bet you also had a great time. We are definitely going back in two years, it was too good of a holiday to only do it once and DS will be still young enough then to believe.

Guitargirl · 28/12/2014 14:15

The pic are lovely - you look beautiful!

It must have been amazing to get married in such magical surroundings. I have never been married myself but if DP and I ever do get married then I would much prefer a winter wedding to a hot and sweaty summer day.

We had a fab time thanks and quite sad that it's all over. The DC want to go again next year but it's so expensive I don't think we will manage it 2 years in a row! Maybe when they are older we can do another trip but without the Santa element of it.

SevenSwansASwimming · 28/12/2014 14:25

chesty Florida sounds fab, when are you going? I can't be bothered to work it out from how many sleeps you said!

We don't really do holidays, they're always rubbish because we can't afford to spend loads on decent ones, I'd rather do a few nice days out with the DCs throughout the year than spend the same amount on a cheap holiday. We're getting the puppy in around 3 weeks though so have that to look forward to.

September Seven has taken lots of saving.

Lots of great places for days out with DC though and more excitement as they're spread out for DCs?

mama hope you find a nice place for this year. Lapland 2016?

MamaPizza · 28/12/2014 19:02

Guitargirl I never thought I'd get married, we've been together for aaaages but we finally got round to it, so don't give up hope. It was blimming freezing, but so worth it.

I can't do two years in a row, hence in 2016. Cheap and cheerful summer fun next year, off to travel agents tomorrow for brochures. But it's definitely going to happen again. And then DS will be old enough to do the things we really have been waiting for for years - Kenya, Barbados (been twice pre DS, can't wait to go again) and Thailand. Sorry, don't mean to show off or so, but we never go out, don't drink alcohol and save every year for those holidays like crazy by cutting back on many other things.

Seven how exciting! We want puppy pics when he is there! Or she?

KinkyDoritoWithJingleBellsOn · 28/12/2014 19:27

Lovely wedding pics Xmas Smile.

Florida is amazing - want to go again next year but don't think we'll be able to do it. Definitely plan to go again some time in the next few years though.

ChestyTheSnowman · 28/12/2014 22:05

Where did you stay Kinky? We stayed on IDrive.

Serious diet begins after new year!

MamaPizza · 29/12/2014 08:22

Thanks Kinky.

Chesty, as in un-serious diet happening at the moment? Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

KinkyDoritoWithJingleBellsOn · 29/12/2014 09:07

Animal Kingdom Lodge - soooo expensive but amazing. It was to celebrate the end of chemotherapy for DD, so we went all-out.

KinkyDoritoWithJingleBellsOn · 29/12/2014 09:08

I know what you mean about diet. I'm started to get worried that my work trousers won't fit next week...

FatJerseyPostXmasSpud · 29/12/2014 10:03

I'm back on a diet now. As my Username suggest, i am one fat spud now Xmas Blush

ChestyTheSnowman · 29/12/2014 10:50

Oh AKL looks lovely kinky price is a bit eye watering for me. How's DD now? Ok I hope?

mama my diet ATM still consists of baileys coffee and never ending chocolate and buffet stuff from the fridge.

I'm sure I will need some lubricant in vast quantities to squeeze into my work dress tomorrow Sad

KinkyDoritoWithJingleBellsOn · 29/12/2014 11:23

She's okay thanks Chesty - she's nearly two years off treatment but still has regular checks. It was very, very eye-wateringly expensive! We had a room overlooking the savannah so we could see the giraffes and zebra. It was lovely. I really want to go to Disney Beach Club now, but will have to save for a ahem few years for that!

I am very, very fat. I need a grip, but still at parents so there is no point as every time I say I will be good, DM gets the cheese out...

SevenSwansASwimming · 29/12/2014 11:28

Hope your DD is better now kinky.

mama I didn't think you were showing off. I have 4DCs and I'm a SAHM. If we had one or two and I worked we could afford to save more. Did you see the tiny puppy pic I posted on one of the sleeps threads or was it while you were away?

Going to see the puppy again tomorrow, and we get her on the 13th!

SevenSwansASwimming · 29/12/2014 11:31

X-post.

Glad she's better kinky.

I need a serious diet too. Mine starts on Jan 2nd. DH is working on NYE so we celebrate on the 1st instead.

ChestyTheSnowman · 29/12/2014 16:11

I too am proper fat Sad

This is the year need to be slimmer and fitter for holiday.

Good to hear about DD Kinky

MamaPizza · 29/12/2014 18:48

Kinky, glad to hear she is better.

Chesty, my diet sounds similar at the moment. I lost 2 stone in the last 12 weeks for the wedding, but it's slowly creeping up again thanks to Christmas indulgence. Need to stop as I love my weight at the moment.

Seven, must have missed the pic, but you can get a new one tomorrow for us to see?

Can't decide on holiday, wanted to go in October half term but not sure on weather and August is expensive. Sometimes I hate being a teacher and being tied to the school holidays, bah! Will need to decide by tomorrow as places are going fast.

Christmas stuff is gone. It was getting to much on my nerves now that it's over. Have taken it all down and it's back in the loft. Living room looks HUGE! Never seen it like this before as we finished revamping it late November and I straight had the garlands and decorations out.

ChestyTheSnowman · 29/12/2014 19:34

Yes seven we need another photo tomorrow!

Has anyone had a pot of dreams? I've been putting £1 and £2 in since April. Can't wait to see how much is in it. Not full yet tho.

Guess weather in October depends where you go mama, I've been to the Canary Islands in October and was still hot.
I imagine august will be sameish price wise as October half term?

MamaPizza · 30/12/2014 08:00

Pot of dreams? Never heard of it, we just do the £2 Christmas savings. When are you going to open your pot?

There is quite a bit of a difference, up to 1k, and less time to save up. I could find the money until May (when August has to be paid off) but want to relax a bit and not worry too much iyswim. Plus I like the idea of autumn sun for a change as we have a lovely garden and could happily potter around there the whole of August.

ChestyTheSnowman · 30/12/2014 09:46

One of these....

Which is 1k more? Scuse me 1st day back at work and hardly slept last night and we've got a burst pipe

Oh come all ye Countdowners
MamaPizza · 30/12/2014 14:35

They are so cute!

Hope you got the pipe fixed.

Up to 1k difference between August and October holidays. Probably due to guaranteed heat in August, but still... And don't get me started on the difference between term time and school holidays...
