I don't think it's too much for ds, his 2nd birthday is in January and won't be getting much from us, most things that are in his stocking are bargains, plus trying to explain why ds hasn't got one to dd would be tricky. Stockings are fun!

Kelly281 · 02/12/2014 13:01

Even after telling myself I wasn't going to, I have went slightly over what I'd planned again this year. There is just too much choice out there!

DD (3.2)
Raleigh 12" Krush Bike
Our Generation Doll
Our Generation Campervan
Our Generation Kitchen
Snow Glow Elsa
Thomas Avalanche Escape
Barbie Colour Change Handbag
Barbie Vending Machine
Leapreader & books
Leapband
ELC Christmas Dinner set
Roebud Village Farm
ELC Tea Trolley
B Carousel Bells

I've still to get her Christmas eve items and a couple of games/puzzles for her stocking and then that's me done :)

TooManyMochas · 02/12/2014 20:52

FairyWhiteBear

We're doing a stocking for DS (just turned three) in addition to presents from family but its mostly little novelty things. Here's a few of the bits we've got.

Curly straws (£1 from Poundshop)
Bag of chocolate coins (£1)
Colouring book (from Wilko, can't remember but £1 max)
Bathtime Buddies 'Mud Buddy' bath toy (Wilko, £1.50)
Little glider plane (60p, Waterstones)
Mr Men book (£1.50 Wilko)

The joy of 2yos is that they neither know nor care how much you've spent. Knowing DS the curly straws will probably be the highlight of his Christmas Grin.

Genuine question, why do people get wound up at what other people buy? Some of these lists are much much bigger than I can afford or fit into my little house and some would be a lot smaller than I would buy, I don't bat an eyelid or feel inferior that others buy lots more or that some go for a very simple Christmas so why do other people get so bothered?

fuzzpig · 03/12/2014 17:06

I don't know fan. I really love reading everyone's lists and imagining all the happy faces on Xmas morning! Especially when there's really quirky items on there.

weaselsquirrel · 03/12/2014 17:12

I haven't added my list but I've loved reading everyone else's it's given me some great ideas.

fuzzpig · 03/12/2014 17:13

I've not added mine either as we haven't finished, in fact we haven't even decided everything yet which is very unusual for us! Enjoying the process of choosing though, I love Xmas shopping :)

BustyDeLaGhetto · 03/12/2014 17:45

It's just DD (4) and I this year. I haven't bought her any toys as we have a teeny tiny cottage and she has lots of bits already.

She asked for her own bag of cashew nuts so she doesn't have to share mine, and I've bought her one of those old jewellery boxes with the dancing ballerina inside and filled it with beads, hair clips etc. Also bought her a watch, and a dragon cape which is AMAZING. We're spending Christmas in Cornwall so presents sent by courier today. Please don't smash all the lovely presents, courier Sad

I have also bought a present for my dad who died last year. He was part of a HUGE heavy metal band and we discovered after he died that he had a Direct Debit set up for the Donkey Sanctuary. He'd kept it quiet as he thought it would spoil his image. This year I have sponsered a blind Donkey called Teddy for him Grin

weaselsquirrel · 03/12/2014 18:02

Busty I did the same for my daughters fourth birthday, bought a jewellery box with a ballerina and filled it with bracelets etc. it made her day was by far the best present Smile

Waitingonasunnyday · 03/12/2014 18:13

Busty that is lovely. Merry Christmas Teddy and RIP to your dad. All the rockers I know are total softies really.

ImFineThankYouSusan · 04/12/2014 05:54

That's lovely Busty. I am sorry for your loss. I am a huge metal fan \m/ I wonder if I listened to your dad's band.
