WUMW I got this Djeco set for DD1 (aged 5) but it is age range 5-10yrs

www.amazon.co.uk/Djeco-Princesses-Create-Story-Stamping/dp/B001G7UXMG/ref=sr_1_1?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1417441691&sr=1-1&keywords=djeco+princess

Also got this gorgeous one for my niece (aged almost 9):

www4.fnac.com/Djeco-Tableaux-a-pailleter-Animaux-Design-by-Djohr/a4066124/w-4

And this one for DD2 aged 2.5:

www.amazon.fr/Djeco-DJ08664-Collages/dp/B0012BU0L0/ref=sr_1_11?s=toys&ie=UTF8&qid=1417442106&sr=1-11&keywords=djeco

They are expensive - I didn't pay these prices for them. I got them in France when on sale not much help if you are sourcing from the UK

Fairywhitebear · 01/12/2014 13:59

This thread is making me feel awful, can't afford anywhere near this (new or second hand)

Do people really think a 2 yr old (just 2) needs a stocking??! Or a baby??

WUME · 01/12/2014 14:03

Its a bit hard to explain to d1 (7yo) and D2 (4yo) why Father Christmas didn't bring their baby sister a stocking.

Think it through.

Its not rocket science.

WUME · 01/12/2014 14:05

Thasnk you EmGee, really appreciate the links Smile

AdventCaroline · 01/12/2014 14:53

Fairywhitebear don't worry and of course a baby and a 2 year old don't need a stocking!

When DD2 was a baby, DD1 would have noticed, so I just put things I was buying anyway in the baby's stocking - I put in a nappyGrin, a flannel, a sippy cup, and a banana.

But when DD1 was a baby, I didn't do a stocking at all. I bought her a Christmassy babygrow for her first Christmas and that was it.

For a two year old, you could wrap up a satsuma, some biscuits, and a Christmassy book from the library (obviously you have to take it back later, but I doubt a two year old would notice).

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 01/12/2014 15:02

fairywhitbear I don't normally bother with stockings. And TBH I was really upset that when DS was 1 or 2 as I got him just 2presents but need not of bothered as he wasnt interested he had more fun pushing bloody orange around the living room!

I took Fairywhite to mean she didn't have much spare money, and was hoping it would be OK not to get a stocking for her children.

Do people really think a 2 yr old (just 2) needs a stocking??! Or a baby??

When dd 2 was just over one I got a load of stuff from someones pre christmas clear out on freecyle it was BRILLIANT, great condition pull along toys, v tech cars, little puzzles, it was amazing....I had to give something as older sibling would wonder why dd1 didnt have much!

This year, dd2 got very little for bday, and I have got more stuff for her for xmas, as she has no bath toys, so got brilliant reduced stuff like that....peoples have had brilliant ideas about this age...

for instance box filled with helium balloons....

ItsBeginning thanks for posting your links to Djeco stuff available in the UK - they are actually quite reasonably priced - I would've thought they would be more expensive (they cost so much on Amazon!!)

I'm going to get these to add to my list!
