Reastie I second the soft toys ideas, also there's a lot of interest now in coconut oil for dementia so I wonder if it's an (alternative and a bit out there... ) additional little stocking filler, link here:

Can't hurt and I find it great for my underactive thyroid.

nodramamama · 19/11/2014 07:31

Just bought the Melissa and Doug pirate chest on lightning deals for £10, very chuffed!

Reastie · 19/11/2014 07:36

Thanks again so much for the ideas.

Iggi999 · 19/11/2014 07:37

Apologies for typos, if HQ would fix the moving advert that covers up the box on my phone, life would improve...

Tykeisagirl · 19/11/2014 07:39

Reastie, does this lady have a CD player in her room? My grandfather has quite advanced dementia and one thing which beings him real joy is listening to music.

BotoxBitch · 19/11/2014 07:40

Another know if smyths will have another 20% event? X

nodramamama · 19/11/2014 07:48

Iggi I use it as a moisturiser and butter replacement, spread on toast, for stir fries, in shakes, hair treatments, make up remover etc, we use it lots and saves a fortune on beauty items. So can easily be incorporated into diet. I find if I have it in porridge it's delicious and keeps me full all morning.
(gets off squeaky soapbox Grin)

Iggi999 · 19/11/2014 07:54

Ooh, very interesting, thanks. Does it affect your need for thyroxine? (Fellow sufferer).
Back to bargains...Smile

I've had an email from L'Occitane up to 50% off HERE I'm getting my secret santa, DSIL and MIL her fave handcream! BARGAINS!

I love this thread.

Badvocinapeartree · 19/11/2014 08:59

If anyone sees a deal,on the lego city speed train I would appreciate it!
£75 seems a lot!....

RosieBdy · 19/11/2014 09:17

Not strictly a bargain, but someone mentioned on HUKD that ASDA's now booking home delivery slots up to 23rd Dec. I've been waiting for the Christmas slots to become available so thought I'd mention it here incase anyone else was too. (Just need to remember to change my 'book the slot' order from loads of wine and include some food too!)
Also, thought of you all yesterday - I was flicking radio channels in the car and SMOOTH Xmas came on - a whole channel for just Christmas music Grin I'd forgotten about it from last year. Just need Lidl to buck up and get Christmas pasta in now...

eatyouwithaspoon · 19/11/2014 09:24

Hi Restie following on from Ninja and the other posters IKEA have a beautifully soft hare toy for about £5 my DD has one and he is lovely with lovely ears and I think whiskers to fiddle with.

nodramamama · 19/11/2014 09:44

Iggi I've pmd'd you!

ihatethecold · 19/11/2014 09:54

Badvocinapeartree, that L'occitane stuff is still mega expensive.
Nice stuff though.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 19/11/2014 10:01

Has anyone seen age 3-4 girls tartan pyjamas? Not fussed about the colour but have got everyone else tartan ones for Christmas eve. Thanks

SunshineofRay · 19/11/2014 10:19

OutThereLil · 19/11/2014 10:36

Has anyone seen a supergirl/wonder woman costume at a reasonable price.

I need to get two ; one for a 7 yo and one for a 4yo.

andadietcoke · 19/11/2014 10:43

Has anyone seen packs of very cheap Christmas cookie cutters online? Poundland seem to do a 4-pack for 99p which is exactly what I'm after but there's not one near me that's easy to get to and go fm through the rigmarole of getting the DTs in just to find they're out of stock. Have this romantic idea of tying them to my presents.

IAmAPaleontologist · 19/11/2014 10:46

cookie cutters like these?

Ebay is your friend.

I really want to get the 3d ikea ones, they look amazing. Will have to make a detour on my way home from uni one day next week.

afreshstartplease · 19/11/2014 10:47

I bought my dd tartan pj's from peacocks, they were in the boys section but look pretty unisex to me

WildFlowersAttractBees · 19/11/2014 10:50

Thanks afresh, will have a look.
