badvoc Isme have the lego city train. It is £80 on there and then you could use the £30 off a £60 spend code (google isme codes). That would make it pretty reasonable.

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 19/11/2014 11:06

wildflowers tesco f and f have some checked flannel PJ's in cream and lilac I think , and they have 25% off at the mo - not sure if that's just online?

LinzerTorte · 19/11/2014 11:10

SPARKLE gives free delivery over £15 and £5 off a £30 spend at the Book People (until midnight tonight).

andadietcoke · 19/11/2014 11:24

Iamapaleontologist yes, but cheaper. Think I'm going to have to find a poundland and hope they have them.

IAmAPaleontologist · 19/11/2014 11:28

i thought that was pretty cheap, it includes postage so by the time you get bus or use petrol to find a poundland, pay for parking etc. Never mind.

PandasRock · 19/11/2014 11:38

£2.50 or thereabouts delivered is not a bad price at all. Most supermarkets will have them in larger branches, if that's any use. I definitely saw some in a Waitrose the other day, but didn't notice the price (suspect more than £2.50 though!)

Lilicat1013 · 19/11/2014 11:56

For the lady with dementia, would she like a bubble lamp? You can get large ones or table top ones.

Maybe one of those things that project stars on the ceiling? I had one of those for my son when he was a baby and it was lovely to look at.

The other thing I thought of which is very similar to the cuddly toy idea is that I have heard that a lot of people with dementia having a doll. A realistic baby doll might be appreciated. I am aware that could seem like an odd thing to buy an adult as a gift though!

As she likes bright colours would a bright picture for her wall might make her room feel more welcoming.

liquidstatehasrisenagain · 19/11/2014 11:59

rosie what frequency is smooth christmas on please? (for my non tecky mum!)

I need a cheap snowman snowglobe for my downstairs loo if anyone has seen a good one. Am at my mums and she already has hers out and I have realised my life is incomplete without one Grin

Christmas presents are now done so starting to shop for myself except I know I will keep buying for others as well

nodramamama · 19/11/2014 12:25

Liquidstate I was supposed to have stopped Christmas shopping for DS, but found myself buying the Melissa and Doug pirate chest on lightning deals this morning, plus a periscope as I had saved money Grin

BettyBitesBums · 19/11/2014 12:28

Wildflowers they had some red tartan check girls pyjamas in Primark a few weeks ago but they were with the Christmas stuff so I assume they'd still have them.

beadyboo · 19/11/2014 12:28

Found a book I really want on the book people, and it's only £2.99, anyone know any good codes so I don't have to spend the same again in postage?
I'm sure I can make the price up a bit, but don't need £25 worth of books though I probably could as book buying is addictive

nodramamama · 19/11/2014 12:34

Hi, Linzer had mentioned that SPARKLE gives free delivery over £15

LinzerTorte · 19/11/2014 12:39

beady Was going to mention SPARKLE, but see that nodrama got there before me. Xmas Smile You could also try SPEND10 or AFTADAH (both were giving free delivery over £10 a few days ago) to see if they're still working.

Mipe · 19/11/2014 12:40

The Book People also have this Lego Star Wars Visual Dictionary for £6.99 (£10 off), mine arrived last night and it is a lovely big book with a minifigure too Smile.

LinzerTorte · 19/11/2014 12:45

Have just tried them out myself and neither are.

reastie - AFTADAH and SPEND10 no longer work at the Book People

PizzaPasta · 19/11/2014 12:47

Liquid, the card factory had mini christmas snow globes for 99p. Pretty sure they had snowmen.

Rollermum · 19/11/2014 13:11

Sorry if this is a repeat but Paperchase have £5 of if you spend £20 with the code XMAS14 from now until 27th November. Is online, or if you can get a voucher (I got one outside a shop yesterday), in store.

Rollermum · 19/11/2014 13:12

And I should have said Reastie in that above post!

ecofreckle · 19/11/2014 13:39

If anyone else makes biscotti, fudge, brownies, cookies, whatever for gifts and is always searching for cheap cake tins to put them in I found a lovely set of three (biggest 10 inches) in Lidl for £3.99. They are all red with white snowflakes on. I usually try TK Maxx, Ikea and Wilkos but this Lidl deal seems very good.

Does anyone else remember a spate of mega cheap popular children's books on Amazon last year? Stickman for a pound or something silly. Anyway, does anyone know if that's likely to happen again and how you find out which ones are reduced to these crazy prices please?

BuddyKringleberry · 19/11/2014 13:40

Playmobil discontinued and damaged box list is out. Annoying the bits I would twitch for weren't on there phew x

ecofreckle · 19/11/2014 13:40

Oh, and we got our 22 month old one of the wooden multi-storey car-park/garages from Lidl for £8; looks fine to me if anyone was wondering.

IAmAPaleontologist · 19/11/2014 13:50

How do you get eh playmobil list?

TheWrathofNaan · 19/11/2014 14:09

BuddyKringleberry · 19/11/2014 14:15
