Ah thanks east. really wanted the swimming pool or playground. Have actually found an offer on toys r us. You get a nice free superset if you spend 45 quid on playmobil. Don't yet know if it stacks with the 5 pounds off code and obviously 45 quid is quite a lot but if I got a big set for dd then a smaller set and the superset would both make nice gifts for other children I need to buy for.

MissLurkalot · 15/11/2014 19:27

No Janx, eBay is your friend x

IAlreadyToldYou · 15/11/2014 19:41

LongestLurker, keep your eye on this thread, there's been loads of brilliant playmobil deals. I managed to get a school bus and ambulance £15 each (half price) from tesco a couple of months ago - directed there by this thread.

Thanks for the toys r us info billiejean! Flowers

ModerationInEverything · 15/11/2014 19:42

Any valid Smyths codes please? Need to spend £100! Am very loathe to without a code Xmas Grin

lilyloo · 15/11/2014 19:48

Janx I have one of those pigs , dd won't miss it.
Pm me your address and I will send it.

Lurleene · 15/11/2014 19:49

Thank you to whoever mentioned the free calendar from WH Smith via the o2 app. I got a Chelsea calendar for my DS which should have cost £9. He was with me so I have already given it to him, and he was thrilled.

janx · 15/11/2014 20:02

Oh lily loo that would be great. Can I offer you something in return? What is your dd into?

nodramamama · 15/11/2014 20:02

Hi all thank you for your thoughts on how to approach what father Christmas does or doesn't provide toys wise, very interesting as I'd never really thought about it till we had our son obviously so now not sure on how explanations should go ha ha. Your ideas have been food for thought

Sadly my nieces already have 2 barbie convertible cars it's just the huge expensive stuff they don't so any other ideas much appreciated!

shadesofwinter · 15/11/2014 20:17

LongestLurker I got the Playmobil pool for £18 the other day on Amazon. It's dropped quite low a couple of times recently - I was tracking it on camelcamelcamel.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 15/11/2014 20:23

Yves Rocher (we had loooooooads of bargainous stuff last year from them) are offering a pretty free watch with any order. So buy a tablet of soap or some cheapo bubble bath, and get a free watch.

It's just popped into my inbox.

lilyloo · 15/11/2014 20:24

Janx it's fine it's only a bit of plastic , hope it's ok ?
Will pop it in post if you let me have your addy.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 15/11/2014 20:29

Just been and looked closer at Yves Rocher.....there is a choice of 3 free gifts with any price order, plus loads of stuff at either BOGOF or half price, plus 10% cashback with Quidco and 10.1% with TCB.

janx · 15/11/2014 20:30

Just had an email from the Entertainer saying that they have furby booms for £30.00 online - ie £25 off.

Not sure if it's just online. Plus lots of other new deals...

Reastie · 15/11/2014 20:56

Oh, and I'll organise new thread in the morning so assuming you won't use up all messages tonight, if not then maybe someone can plan a holding thread until I wake up Grin

PoopPoooDeDooo · 15/11/2014 21:36

zipzap the furbies are coming up as 39.99 on your link, is it different for you?

Applejack2 · 15/11/2014 21:42

If anyone finds any offers on Lego Minecraft please post. We are after the craft set, the farm and the cave. Cheapest I have found is Asda (so far).

306235388 · 15/11/2014 21:43

longest playmobil pool went down to £16 last year on amazon

MsAspreyDiamonds · 15/11/2014 21:45

If anybody is near Westminster / Waterloo on Mon 17 Nov, then the Book People will have a stall in St. Thomas Hospital.

Bird Corridor 10-3pm.

longestlurkerever · 15/11/2014 21:56

bargain 306! I have splashed out for it on Toysrus but just to report that the offers do stack so I got £65 worth of playmobil for £40 which I'm quite pleased with.

zipzap · 15/11/2014 22:00

Argh - sorry poop that was a typo Blush - it was supposed to say £39.99. I was about to type £40 and then changed my mind at the last minute and obviously didn't check as carefully as I should have done. sorry. I think that £40 is still quite a good price for them though (not buying one personally but they often seem to be around the £50-60 mark when I've seen them in shops).

I've just had a very bargainous shop at The Works - lots of the stuff I bought was reduced already so it should have been £42 instead of about £75 but if you spent more than £30 and used SAVE you got 30% off most things (including some annuals bringing them down to £2.80) (if you spent £10 you got 10% off, £20 got 20% off) but by going through topcashback you get a further 21% off that too which should bring it down to about £27 in total, plus there's free standard delivery. All in all a bit of a bargain.

Only downside was that I tried to do it yesterday and earlier today and my pc crashed - by the time I got it going again and did the order just now several of the things I wanted had gone out of stock Sad but there seemed to be some nice cheap craft kits that will keep my dc entertained in the run up to christmas as well as sorting out several presents.

The 21% cashback deal ends at 11am tomorrow morning I think.

If anyone misses it, as a new customer I've been given a link to refer friends which will give them 20% off which expires on 29th November.

Applejack2 · 15/11/2014 22:01

Lemon,
I am going to order the 7 piece Minecraft toy set today. I have ordered stuff from China before. Usually arrives within 2 weeks.
