I already told you it wasn't an amazing amy doll was it? She's say "I need a nap, mommy- i want..... Applesauce! And you give her various items.

Plays games when you squeezze her hands- needs medicine, wants to get changed from pajamas etc??

Gap has a whopping 40% off everything this weekend (in the Leeds store but assume national) - some lovely jumpers & socks & stuff for the DCs.

Way back about 10 threads ago someone mentioned a penguin that laid an egg which was massively reduced...can any one remember what it was called?

Please can I have some ideas for your most bargainous present around the £5 mark. I want to get some presents for the local refuge and they are after things for all ages / both sexes. I want the gifts I get to be substantial as far as possible so they don't come across as token gestures. I managed to get a set of reduced gel nails in Tesco for £1.62 today which I've teemed with a hand cream and nail file set from Body Shop using the gift card from Glamour so have got a nice present for under £5 for either a teenage girl or lady. Thanks.

Titsalinabumsquash · 14/11/2014 17:11

Could you go into pound land and get £5 worth of toiletries? Their perfumes are actually quite nice and you can get hair accessories and hand/face creams ect.
You could also spend £5 on some colouring books, crayons etc for younger children.
Smile

Callofthewild how about little food and present gifts, in £1 store you could get multi packs of cookies, sweets, plus little cars, dolls, coloring in books, make up, etc for kids and make little packs with cellophane from florists and ribbon?

Then for grown up presents some nice mugs from charity shops with hot choc plus kit kats, Terrys choc, marshmallows etc plus any other extra gifts maybe nice soaps, hand cream etc. For men maybe nice book from charity shop, plus chocolate, say a mint body wash, and a lottery scratch card or something like that?

Callofthewild · 14/11/2014 17:46

Thanks for your ideas. I suppose ideally what I'm looking for are any toy bargains where I can pick up a toy that normally sells for around £10-15 for around £5.

Badvocinapeartree · 14/11/2014 17:48

Call...what about 3 for 2 offers?

ModerationInEverything · 14/11/2014 17:50

All sorts of things for food hampers Xmas Smile

IAlreadyToldYou · 14/11/2014 17:57

iloveholidays, tesco had all their orchard games reduced at the beginning of the week, to about £4.50.

runawayreindeer, it might have been that. This was before I had dcs myself so I remember admiring my nieces doll in a not-that-interested kind of way, if that makes sense and then suddenly remembered it today and decided it would've been perfect for my dd.

WaitingOnASunnyDay, thanks for the cicciobella info, I've added it to my wish list, could be a possibility.Flowers

Does anyone else have any 'interactive doll' ideas for a 4 yr old?

HangingInAGruffaloStance · 14/11/2014 18:05

Call - have you a local B and M store? I haven't been in very recently so don't now what stock there is right now, but I always find them really good value for gifts, e.g. Got a Peppa pig set selling else where for £18 for £6.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 14/11/2014 18:16

Sorry, no bigger sizes of the Matalan Elsa dress and they don't think that they'll have any in until mid December

Callofthewild · 14/11/2014 18:17

Hanging - I went into Home Bargains earlier and was a little overwhelmed by all the choice. DTD's are only 13 months so my knowledge of toys for older children is limited. Some things looked well priced but was wary of buying something that was last year's coveted item and is now old hat. I've seen orchard games mentioned on this thread a few times so will try and pick one of those up from Tesco.

nodramamama · 14/11/2014 18:23

I already told you not sure if you are looking for boy or girl but my DS is 3.5 and we have got him an interactive Buzz Lightyear and Woody, they talk to each other, over 100 phrases to drive us insane with enjoy HmmWink

Nanny25 · 14/11/2014 18:31
