Congratulations dilys

BettyOff · 10/11/2014 11:48

Duckbilled I've PM'd you!

I just collected DD's mini micro scooter. I got it from Smyths with the £6 off code because I figured it wasn't discounted anywhere else and from what I've heard it wasn't likely to be so figured 10% is better than nothing. I'll kick myself now if it appears on Black Friday!

Fubbs · 10/11/2014 12:49

DS1 finally decided that he'd like the limited edition Minecraft axe so happily went on ebay to shop linked on page three to find it's £50 Shock! If anyone can find it cheaper (or at all elsewhere, I've had no luck Sad), I'd be so grateful.

Might just tell him he'll have to rethink. DS2 wants the much more reasonably priced diamond axe but only if his brother gets an axe too. And there I was thinking I was sorted!!

AliceLidl · 10/11/2014 12:56

I'd lost track of the threads for a while.

Just bought the big Lego Sort and Store Head on Amazon for £20 and free delivery, it's half price at the moment and I've had my eye on them for ages.

Do you reckon Book People is the cheapest place to get annuals from? I want Manchester City & Match of the Day

bluesky · 10/11/2014 12:57

Just back from Tesco, I was buying a £25 Monsoon Gift Card, and the till had it at £20, very happy!

They are also doing gift sets of the amazing CALCOT MANOR spa stuff, huge box down to £10 from £20, wish I'd bought more than one now. It looks really impressive. "Spa Pampering Heaven", its called.

It's got full sized (200ml) shower and bath gel, hand wash, hand & body lotion, bath salts 200g, body scrub 150ml, body buff 150ml, body balm 100ml, spa cancle and a body polisher scrunchie thing! So you could buy it and separate the gifts as prezzies.

Frankie, there is a brand called Booja Booja that do gluten and dairy free chocolates, have seen them in Waitrose. But I googled this morning and you can also get them on Amazon!

PinkAndBlueBedtimeScares · 10/11/2014 13:12

Eurgh, just spoke to my Sil and she said dn would like Lego for Christmas.. He's 5, any ideas? Not looking to spend more than £10..

Badvoc123 · 10/11/2014 13:17

Lego city would be good for a 5 year old I think
I think supermarkets are cheaper than thebook people for annuals unless you get free delivery

IAlreadyToldYou · 10/11/2014 13:22

Ooh looking forward to buying some books from the book people later with those codes. Anyone with a 4 year old dc - what are the books they love? Thanks in advance.

LikeSilver · 10/11/2014 13:33

I have a £30 off a £60 spend at Isme if it's of any use to anyone? It says 'get £30 off when you spend £60 or more on your first successful credit order...and the discount will be applied as credit to your account'. PM me for the code if you'd like it.

Picturesinthefirelight · 10/11/2014 13:34

Today20 gives 20% off plus free delivery on orders over £20 at The Works

BreakingDad77 · 10/11/2014 13:40

I would be bit wary of ALi express for some childrens things, they may not have been built/made to European standards (CE) or even have fake CE stamping on it.

OurDayWillCome · 10/11/2014 13:42

Some lovely jewellery and accessories on the ASOS outlet site. Lots of earrings and headbands for £2 and cute watches for £4.50.

I'm looking for bits and pieces for my grandparents' hampers: food and drink, candles, home stuff etc, plus something to actually put it all in if anyone's seen any bargains?

leesmum · 10/11/2014 13:45

Grrr DS1 keeps going on about John Adams Real Power Workshops...I didn't fancy paying 50 quid Shock for one when I know he'all get fed up with it after a while so if anyone sees any good deals give me a shout ta Thanks ohh and there was none left in toys-r-us when I went yesterday Sad

Naicecuppatea · 10/11/2014 14:00

M&S have 15% of some of their skincare ranges in store today (don't know about online), like Ren, Nuxe etc...

I'm also interested in something to put a food hamper in, ie, large flattish basket or box and cellophane wrapping.

missmakesstuff · 10/11/2014 14:01

riverrocks we has ds1 due in March too, I've already bought him some clothes which were lovely and barely worn in a charity shop, Plus a new baby monitor, everything else will be hand me downs from his big sister, really trying not to buy anything else!
Alice I'm liking the Lego head, I think we need one..
for anyone who got or is thinking about the sassybloom box from a million couple of threads back, I used an mse code to get it for 9. They said it would be here end of the month, nothing yet. I've emailed and told them I'm cancelling the subscription and to not try it on with telling me I have to wait till it's delivered ( as that would probably mean going past their cut off date andwan me paying) whilst they were good about this, and have cancelled, still no box. So long story short I wouldn't bother.

missmakesstuff · 10/11/2014 14:10

Although I think I'm done for dd, we were thinking that she might like a baby boy doll, like this
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B005C145GM/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1415566242&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX110_SY165
although the facial expression is a bit scary but I'm not paying nearly 20 quid...anyone got any suggestions for a cheaper and nicer one? Want it with accessories, preferably softer feel than shiny hard plastic. Soft body fine as then it won't go in the bath like bath dolly did get full of mould and get thrown out

MooseyMoo · 10/11/2014 14:13

naicecuppatea Lidl have patterned cellophane on Thurs 13th

ipanicked · 10/11/2014 14:13

pinkandblue wierdly enough I was just searching for exactly the same thing on amazon!

I went for the lego movie getaway glider and the lego movie melting room. It's the cheapest I've seen them at £8.71. I don't think the ages are a problem as my 5yo can do these sets without any help and all 5yos I know seem to be into the lego movie (as well as every other type of lego under the sun Hmm)

SweetPeaPods · 10/11/2014 14:14

Missmakesstuff I'm still waiting for my sassy box too

Mama1980 · 10/11/2014 14:16

Ok I love my eldest brother if I ever say otherwise, slap me- he has got my ds1 and Monty and Mabel from John Lewis for Christmas, totally sold out online and I feared another bear and hare chase around but he got them!
This totally makes up for all the teasing and humiliation I have suffered at his hands. Smile
Ok so totally not bargain related but I'm excited my son will be so thrilled.

AlwaysOneMissing · 10/11/2014 14:16

Waitrose have 3 for 2 on all Burts Bees at the moment, and also 20% off all Christmas gifts with a MyWaitrose card (can stack the offers too). Some lovely bargainous gifts to be had.

I know I've missed the boat on this, but where did we decide had the best/cheapest hamper baskets for making up hampers? Tia

MrsBungle · 10/11/2014 14:35

Thanks ipswich those look great.

Mollymoofer · 10/11/2014 14:36

I'm thinking Home Bargains for hampers. That's where I'm headed unless anyone else says otherwise.
