msasprey I needed an emergency superhero costume to. I got one for £10 from Amazon. It's called hero girl but they also had supergirl and spider girl. It was really quick delivery but I have amazon prime.

MrsAsprey if you search eBay for kids bat girl costumes you will find some. DD has the bat girl costume with the tutu type skirt and loves it. decent quality for a costume, she's had it for a couple of years.

I got it for a superhero fancy dress party and she was the only girl there not in a princess costume

If you're going to DIY t shirt material doesn't fray so you don't have to hem it. If you have an old adult t shirt you could make a cape quite quickly. Or DD uses a square silk scarf tied round her neck as her "summer cape" (we are waiting for a winner cape from santa)

Nordra, tk max have lots of nice baby things, nice quality clothes and some nice traditional wooden toys, they had some lovely blankets in there next week, I'm thinking of getting one for my SIL who's baby girl is due in march.
