Amazon did a promotion a few weeks back where you got a £5 voucher if you bought £20 of gift cards. They're doing another one where you get £5 for linking your Facebook account with your amazon account but that's all too high tech for me x

waithorse · 02/11/2014 20:46

I can resist trying to finish the thread until tomorrow Reastie. Grin Hope your headache goes soon. Thanks

Rhinopotamus · 02/11/2014 20:49

I did the linking Facebook to amazon thing. I just clicked the link in the email and it was fairly straightforward. When I put £30 of sold by Amazon stuff in my basket and went to checkout, the £5 was taken off automatically.

AWimbaWay · 02/11/2014 20:57

Theonlyoneiknow Argos also have a half price hexbug set but offer ends tomorrow.

Reastie · 02/11/2014 20:57

Going on the basis of new thread tomorrow then, night night Wink

I'm a little backwards in toddler technology make that all technology! and was wondering if anyone can explain the difference between an Innotab and Leapfrog - any opinions on which is better/more durable for a 3yo?

I saw a Sesame Street play shop set on House Of Fraser in the toy sale Cheetah - wonder if there may be a figurine on that?

nodramamama · 02/11/2014 21:20

Limbinthesup I was wondering the same re Innotab and Leap frog

wibblyjelly · 02/11/2014 21:41

Feel better soon ReastieThanks

RJnomore · 02/11/2014 21:41

Tesco do a limited range of terra muni type pots norbert, called pots of dreams, don't know if they are the same or not? But they are £8 each, I bought one for an engagement present recently.

In with the gift odds and ends.

RJnomore · 02/11/2014 21:45

Oh and I bought a copy of glamour from tesco today, but there was no body shop card in it! The page advert is on page 101 but no card there Sad

Anyone know if there is anything that I can do about it?

cookiefiend · 02/11/2014 21:48

I keep meaning to say that m and s outlet jas the Christmas Tree biscuit tin m and s did last year for only £5. Very nice.

janx · 02/11/2014 21:54

Home bargains have reindeer onesies -can't remember who was asking

306235388 · 02/11/2014 22:03

Thanks for the eBay tip for brown paper - 25m for £6. Dh thinks I'm insane and it'll look rubbish and the kids will be sad (!) but I've also ordered stamps (snowflake/ do not open until / reindeer/ borrowing dd's frozen ones), red and plain luggage tags and Christmas cut out punches.

It'll look good right?? I'm starting to wrap soon but will also be putting ribbon on nearer Xmas as reckon it'll get wrecked in storage otherwise.

Santa will still wrap his presents in cheap and tacky cartoon type paper!!

nodramamama · 02/11/2014 22:13

It will look brilliant, I have the don't open until stamp too, love it! Need to get some label punches.

SoonToBeSix · 02/11/2014 22:14

I would go for leapfrog every time, a leapad 2 would be perfect for a three year old. Amazon sell the one that includes a rechargeable battery pack ( leapad 2 power) for £50 don't get the regular one you will spend a fortune on batteries.

iloveholidays · 02/11/2014 22:14

Thanks moderation I went via TopCashBack and have been credited with £1.99'Smile

I'm working from home tomorrow... Contemplating spending an hour pulling everything out and working out what I've got left to buy. Want to make sure I have enough for the stockings etc.

Also planning a trip to ikea one evening this week!! Do I buy a goat? Grin

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 02/11/2014 22:19

Thanks Thank you black treacle!

Limbinthesup · 02/11/2014 22:22

Thanks Soon - saw the same in Argos for £39.99 with rechargable battery too so am going for that. Did some research on here and although it has slow loading times, people seem to think it is better than Innotab and more educational. Her 'free' Samsung tablet stopped working after 6 months (free with my phone that was) and she has really missed something to sit quietly with. Or maybe that is me who has missed it Grin

Limbinthesup · 02/11/2014 22:33

Or rather, I keep trying to order it from Argos, but three times now it has told me they are having high numbers of visitors to their site and can't complete my purchase! Anyone else having this on checkout with them? I tried to order yesterday and the same thing happened...could it be my laptop somehow?

NorksEnormous · 02/11/2014 22:36

High number of visitors into argos because there's a glitch in the codes- discount code weight20 is meant to give 20% off fitness equipment but is working on all departments apparantly, electricals and toys included! People have bed using it on iPads and stuff. Plus you get a voucher if spending over £50

Limbinthesup · 02/11/2014 22:40

Aha! There's one to try if I ever make it to check-out! Thanks norks

Elvish · 02/11/2014 22:49

It's not you Limb, give it a little time or try again in the morning.

daddykyller · 02/11/2014 23:16

More lightning deals yet again tomorrow. Amazon must be having a big stock clearance or something.
Starting from 7.30am there are loads of Sylvanian Families stuff, John Deere and Hotwheels plus lots more.

siblingrevelryagain · 03/11/2014 07:50

Thanks limbs I've reserved the pink leappad for my DD from Argos (the website allowed me to reserve last night but not buy); I have £25 in vouchers left so it's a proper bargain to me!

NorbertDentressangle · 03/11/2014 08:01

Thanks RJnomore I'll take a look at those.
