RhinosAreFatUnicorns · 02/11/2014 15:07

Thanks jamtoast12 for the Lego Friends shopping mall - although I've put it in the loft for a few years. DD is only 3 1/2 Blush

Picked up my Tesco Frozen advent calendar today. Not exactly bargainous but I used my boost vouchers to make it £5. But DD is going to love it!!

Jenni2legs · 02/11/2014 15:09

theonlyoneiknow my five year old loves the swimming fish hexbugs in the bath. She sits and chats to them until the water turns cold.

OohOod · 02/11/2014 15:54

Any experience of Wilkos not-lego? Is it compatible?

IsabellaRockerfeller · 02/11/2014 16:00

If anyone is looking for a balance bike, TK Maxx have nice lightweight blue or orange ones for £32 (RRP £110 apparently).

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 02/11/2014 16:07

Yes ooh* its compatible with branded lego. I got DS little fire engine to make and I doubled checked with his usual lego when got home

Prizepudding · 02/11/2014 16:39

Not a huge saving but dd just bought disney lego at Argos with birthday money and they have 20% off. She bought the cinderella carriage which is lovely (was £19.99 instead of £25).

We were also in tesco and noticed Anna toddler dolls for £18.99 instead of £25. I also noticed a dirty looking minecraft pig plush for other dd and the store agreed to selling it for half price (£4 instead of £8). Will give it a wash and she will never know, pleased for the bargain.

LokiBear · 02/11/2014 16:48

Not a bargain, but in the range they have coca cola festive trays (they are metal, about the size of a dinner plate) for £1.29. When my brother was younger, he would insist that it wasn't christmas until he saw the Coca Cola advert. So, I have bought him on of the trays, put some festive chocolates and a christmas bottle of cola with 'rudolph' on it. I tied it up with a red ribbon and it looks awesome. DH has just walked in an saw it and got really excited! Just thought I'd share the idea because it has cost £4 and would make a good stocking filler type gift or a nice present for dc's friends.

jamtoast12 · 02/11/2014 16:53

Not sure if posted already but tesco have 50% off all beauty sets inc mens lynx, kids and ladies e.g. Dove etc. just bought packs of lip balms £2 and pack of 3 body butters for £3. Everything half price so great sticking fillers.

summersanta · 02/11/2014 16:55

Looking for some bargainous headphones (not in the ear ones) for DD10 and DS8 ~ don't have to be particularly 'cool'!Grin

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 02/11/2014 17:11

Are people managing to use the ELC birthday codes on reduced items or is it full price only?

marne2 · 02/11/2014 17:15

Sports direct have some good headphones ( in store ), I'm going to get dd1 some when I go on Tuesday.

Marmaladecat1 · 02/11/2014 17:16

Gutted I've missed out on the Melissa and Doug advent calender
Do we think it will come back?

blacktreaclecat · 02/11/2014 17:17

Thank you cheesecheese, that was very kind and I'm very nearly done with my shopping now. Just added up and spent £100 on DS but he's only 2 so easy to get bulky stuff plus his main present (balance bike was a bargain at £17.) I'm sure there will be lots of twitching in the next month or so to drive it up. Also spent approx £100 on Christmas treat days (Gruffalo show, Santa steam train etc).

supermariossister · 02/11/2014 17:29

I have pretty much spent what we budget for the boys but not for sd , need to get some adults presents but they are so boring and harder to buy there

pigleychez · 02/11/2014 17:32

blacktreaclecat- I'm the same. Did a spreadsheet of all the girls presents (4 and 6) and including all the stocking gifts have spent around £75 each! Was pretty pleased with that! :) Lots of bargains.

scott2609 · 02/11/2014 17:33

Apologies if this has already been posted, but you can get 15% off and free delivery at Joules with the code YEO15

I have just purchased this rather wonderful cotton Christmas nightie, which has the characters from the 12 Days Of Christmas all over it :)

AWimbaWay · 02/11/2014 17:38

Theonlyoneiknow My dcs love hexbugs, but be warned the batteries run out ridiculously fast, that has put me off buying any more.

Takesalongtime · 02/11/2014 17:42

I buy a stash of cheap batteries off eBay for the hexbugs Smile

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/11/2014 17:45

Which hexbugs set do you guys have?

OohOod · 02/11/2014 17:49

Anyone seen any cheap film/tv related Xmas tree decorations? Or things I can hang on a small tree?

Whattheduck · 02/11/2014 17:53

LokiBear going to steal your idea for my dh and give it to him on christmas eve

Takesalongtime · 02/11/2014 18:05

We've had several sets including the climbing ones. Like the normal set with the battle bits (boys would though!)

janx · 02/11/2014 18:07

Scott2609 -I can't see the nightie you mentioned. Is it in children's section?
