Warning from Ialreadytoldyou - Loom bands and loom band charms from Asia have been tested and have been carrying a dangerous level of carcinogenics. It's quite worrying tbh, the report says it can get into the body through the skin when worn, especially if the wearer is sweating and also if anything is put in the mouth. Apparently you wouldn't know until the wearer has children and they have defects. article here

I'm feeling festive too. It's pretty chilly today! Thanks

TeWiSavesTheDay · 05/10/2014 10:33

If was very frosty this morning.

I held out against the cheap throw when it came back in stock because it doesn't suit anyone on my list but wish I'd got it for me!

ValerieTheVodkaFairy · 05/10/2014 11:30

ButchCassidy did you see my link in the last thread to the My Little Pony hair care set?

Also- probably not really thread appropriate, but there is a link in the OP to a cashback site- could someone explain how cashback works, really slowly? Grin It's one of those things I keep thinking I should do, but I can't quite get my head around the concept

Wait4nothing · 05/10/2014 11:38

I went to ikea yesterday - not totally bargainous but some nice stuff! I liked the 3x coured tape rolls with dispenser for £1.50 - I saw 2 different colours (reds and greens). I got some beautiful wrapping paper (but not that cheap at 1.75) and some lovely scandie style decs. The range had a nice burlap/hessian stocking for 2.50 (got dh's from matalan at £6!).
I have to admit to wrapping some presents (but only dHs stockings because I don't trust him not to look!)

Keepcalmanddrinkwine · 05/10/2014 11:49

Thanks for the new thread Reastie.
Flowers

I am going real life shopping. I have decided to do pamper hampers for the teens in the family, 3 girls and a boy. I am looking for baskets/nice boxes and loads of toiletries etc. to put in.

Remember to pm me if you want an Isme code, hope they worked well so far.

I have also reserved my Christmas name-change by changing my name then changing it back, so I will soon be known as Keepcalmanddrinkmulledwine.
Wine
How soon is too soon for a Christmas name?

Also putting in my request for a Christmas goat emoticon.

:)

LokiBear · 05/10/2014 11:58

I want to get my brother a cheap mp3 player - any recommendations? I don't want to spend much at all. If I give him something expensive then he in all likelihood he will sell it at some point. (Huge back story) He is coming to us for dinner so I want him to have a small present to open alongside the money I'm going to give him.
