My eldest had his kitchen at 2 and still uses it at 7, along with my other two children, so I reckon if there is a height adjustable one I'd go for it. It's probably the most used present we've ever bought. Although my dad was outraged, at the time, I was buying my 2 year old son a kitchen, cause they're for girls, obviously Hmm

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 13/09/2014 20:14

Methen, dd had her Ikea kitchen last Christmas and was around 18 months then. She could use it straight away, loved it and still plays with it daily.

kiwidreamer · 13/09/2014 20:52

piglet is the trofast frame wide enough for a modest collection of dress up outfits, maybe 10 outfits? Its a good height and the ability to have a tray is really great, narrow is kind of good space wise but if DD can't get to stuff then it might all be a waste of time.

Methenyouplus4 · 13/09/2014 20:52

Thanks guys, I think I'll pay the extra and go for the ikea one.

StairsInTheNight · 13/09/2014 20:53

Thanks hopeandstories for the Matalan heads up, have just spent £25 on lovely but totally unnecessary Xmas stuff! Including a really nice Santa shaped
mug which I shall fill with a hot choc sachet and marshmallows for Xmas eve Smile

EustaciaVye · 13/09/2014 20:53

If any of you venture out to shop it is worth looking at garden centres for stockings.
Yesterday I picked up everything below x2:
twirling baton
stickers
magic book
3d bookmarks
solar dancing flower
sunflower growing kit
for £24. Combined with the bits I already have then that is the stocking all done except for some lego :)

pigleychez · 13/09/2014 21:02

Kiwi Id say we have easily 10 princess dresses on it. If I can dig it out I'll take a photo for you. Its currently piled in the office as we have just decorated DD1's room and waiting for the new carpet to go down.

She has a wall of trofast units full of toys so it fits on the end nicely. Getting the girls to remember to hang them up each time is a different story though!Hmm

TeWiSavesTheDay · 13/09/2014 21:10

So I was really pleased with my boden order but just went onto my account to see that two items (my lovely bargain dress! and a tshirt) had been cancelled. Is this usual? I'm really cross about the dress!

HermioneWeasley · 13/09/2014 21:13

The entertainer still has quite a lot in the sale including some hex bugs and frozen bits

candykane25 · 13/09/2014 21:13

Phew, relieved to see Reastie!

thanks JerseySpud

TheImprobableGirl · 13/09/2014 21:19

If anyone happens to see deals on fairy lights I'm after much much meterage! Not sure how long they go?? Indoor LEDs would be perfect in warm white. Have mooched around amazon and ebay but would prefer experience as don't want to cause s humongous electrical fire for Xmas. Ty :)

HopeAndStories · 13/09/2014 21:19

Half price perfumes have some Burt's bees little gift sets including lip stuff reduced from £5.99 to £2.99 here

mum2jakie · 13/09/2014 21:20

Thanks Methenyouplus4 for the BHS tip - just ordered the Minecraft top for DS. 2 left in stock now!

Methenyouplus4 · 13/09/2014 21:24

No bother, again I can't link as on phone but got some great clearance deals in kiddiecare clearance section online. Got quite a few nice bits for my youngest for really cheap. Brand names like Lego as well as their own male bath toys, marble run etc. X

Methenyouplus4 · 13/09/2014 21:24

Own make, not male. Stupid phone.

candykane25 · 13/09/2014 21:28

Although still waiting to see Waitmonkey :(

TenMinutesEarly · 13/09/2014 21:42

Anyone looking for a pre Christmas Day out in the north west Northern Ballet's Cinderella is on in Manchester in late Nov including Sat 22nd. The Christmas markets will be on too.

I just ordered one adult ticket and got one child ticket free. Two front row tickets (at the side) for £45. I could have got cheaper tickets at £30.

Looking forward to a lovely day out with dd as it is the week after her birthday.

TheFutureSupremeRulersMum · 13/09/2014 22:48

TheImprobableGirl try Lights4Fun, they have lots of different indoor and outdoor fairy lights. They did have a sale on, not sure if it's over now. Plus a one year guarantee which I only just realised about last week as one set of our outdoor lights had broken. Within a couple of days they had helped me fix them (and if that hadn't worked they said they'd send me replacement!)

RubyFlint · 13/09/2014 22:57

My blue fox leather bag £5.99 arrived today. It's great value. Bought for my 10 year old dn, I know she will love it. Thanks to whoever posted it Thanks

WannaSplitAPineapple · 13/09/2014 23:08

pink DS has the bristle blocks previously mentioned. I think you can get them in elc, amazon and argos. I got them in elc last year with one of their discount codes. A year on they still look like new and they've been played with a lot.
