As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

Thanks Itlookslikerain and Clr2014 those are the ones. I couldn't find them anywhere! I will add it to my current amazon order Blush.

Last night I was in Sainsburys and they had lots of peppa pig items reduced to clear. I got a wooden dress up game, fuzzy felt and 2 jigsaws in a box for under £3 each. Worth a look if anyone has a fan to buy for (yes I am looking at you DD2!!!).

Today's Amazon buys are THIS key bottle opener. Thinking DH's stocking. Also a cake pop making kit as making up a baking box for DD1 and figure this could be a few hours of mess fun.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 02/09/2014 09:43

Reastie, I hope your DD is on the mend. I am working today but could help with the opening post tonight if no one else can today.

JerseySpud · 02/09/2014 10:54

NorksEnormous · 02/09/2014 11:14

supermariossister · 02/09/2014 11:33

Hedstrom Wavy Slide www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0015X4XFY/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_sZzbub0WX3GJP this is a hedstrom wavy slide at pretty much half price

youlooklikeineedadrink · 02/09/2014 11:45

Groupon have an offer on here it's a £20 gift card when you spend £15 for The Works. Not a huge help, but I do remember the bargains from The Works getting better and better towards last Christmas

youlooklikeineedadrink · 02/09/2014 11:46

Actually, reading the t&cs it seems like it's an in store only voucher - tehy had thrown me by putting e-voucher further down them

Got some great toy bargains in store at Sainsburys. I've bought:

Orchard Toys Greedy Gorilla game £3
Yo Ho Ho Pirate game £1.80
Cars 35 piece jigsaw 90p (lots of other characters Octonauts etc)
Orchard Toys games compendium (massive box set of 4 games) £4.50
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 'Don't Scramble the Egg' game £3.90.

Am really pleased about the Wimpy Kid game as I find it increasingly harder to buy 'filler' gifts for my oldest - almost 12- and his pile looks a bit sorry for itself next to much younger siblings, even though his stuff costs about four times the price!! This game will be ideal and I've bought an extra one for the birthday party cupboard too.

I also got a toy iron for my youngest - only 30p and it makes working sound effects too. Hopefully it should fit into his stocking!

The only disappointment today has been my delivery of cheap Baileys chic luxe from Amazon. Only £10 a bottle but the BBE is Oct 2014 so no use for bloody Christmas! At least I like the stuff and can do my best to salvage the situation...

BuddyKringleberry · 02/09/2014 12:07

So pleased with my Aliexpress Elf on the shelf. Cost £5, arrived within 2 weeks and is fab! He does have a tiny mark on his hat (as explained in the listing) but bearing in mind the mischief he's going to get up to, I doubt he'll stay mark free for long anyway. I'm still waiting impatiently for my frozen dolls, so excited to see them x

I know that actually posting gifts is a long way off for most people bit as we're moving house and doing a million other things between now and Christmas I'm thinking of starting to get things together for the post now so I'm just wondering, what is the best postal service to use? Only goin England to Wales. Is Royal Mail or are there cheaper couriers? Any advice would be much appreciated. We normally would see extended family before Christmas but have so much going on this year.

306235388 · 02/09/2014 12:34

bloody slide

loudarts · 02/09/2014 13:01

My Hermes is pretty good and cheaper than royal mail

NorksEnormous · 02/09/2014 13:20

Thanks 306, looks good, what Age would you say it's best for?

Oodlives · 02/09/2014 13:36

Mumtojake might be worth phoning up as Octiber isn't a long date for alcohol.

issynoho · 02/09/2014 14:19

dandelionsRflowers · 02/09/2014 14:23

306 I bought that slide for dd a few years ago, I thought £35 was good, built it then Argos had it for £12.50 Angry Norks dd got it aged 3, is now too big for it at 5.

dandelionsRflowers · 02/09/2014 14:26

I must add it took two of us about two hours to build, instructions were terrible and it just didn't fit together very well. It's still in good condition after 2.5 years in the garden though.

NorksEnormous · 02/09/2014 14:41

Ah, no point getting it for a 4 yo then. I noticed it said recommended for age 3-10 but thought it looked a bit small. Still a good price though!

confusedalways · 02/09/2014 15:47

Does anybody have an easy instruction thing for using the tassimo? I tried today and managed to set it up correctly but making the actual drinks is confusing me. Confused

Picklesauage · 02/09/2014 16:12

In response to the slightly dubious Oakley offer, I emailed them today saying I had no confirmation of order and they emailed back within and hour with a payment receipt. So it is looking a little more legitimate now. Not sure what I will receive but, hey I thought it was worth a gamble.

I will report back if and when I get any goods!
I have been watching my bank account carefully just in case, but so far so good.

Oh the things we do for a bargain!
