kiwidreamer Beware that lovely wide cappuccino cups wouldn't fit in the Tassimo to dispense the drinks . . .. you could make the drink in a separate container & pour in though Wink

For that hard to buy for bank robber?! £1.60+99p www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0085JMJN4?cache=14ff13b7f2456eef27795bdee991c0a4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165&qid=1409485257&sr=8-81#ref=mp_s_a_1_81

Also anyone close to Milton Keynes there was a charity stall instead the shopping central bit for ms with totally undervalued £4 hand crocheted baby blankets, colour coordinated hats and booties etc, would be lovely for a family that appreciated that kind of thing.

I don't know of this was a fluke but there was also some of ikea's very good 365+ pans in their bargain corner half price, also they seemed to be clearing out ektorp and kivik chair covers.

Purplefrogshoes · 31/08/2014 13:15

I only found this thread yesterday and already I have bought loads, thanks Grin

1980jm · 31/08/2014 13:32

Hi loving this thread although I feel like I've spent a fortune and it's only August!
Has anybody found any bargain dressing up stuff ? I'm planning a dressing up box for DD who will be 2.7 but tall so looking for size 3-4.

accessorizequeen · 31/08/2014 13:37

I ordered a maxi scooter from 99santi99 for £85 inc postage last nite. Wish I had checked here first!

Picklesauage · 31/08/2014 13:46

Hi, sorry for nor getting back sooner. I'm not sure if scam of not. I went for it as a friends colleague had used it apparently. But I'm just crossing fingers. I decided it was worth the risk as my DH loves Oakleys. So I will wait and see and report back.

JetJungle · 31/08/2014 13:55

Thanks for coming back Pickle. Did you get any confirmation or email after ordering?

I got nothing and have has no response to my emailed query either.

As long as they aren't shopping in Macy's with a cloned version of my bank card ...

leavesalmondoutofit · 31/08/2014 13:56

1980jm, I am putting together dressing up things for my Granddaughter. She will be 2.8 at Christmas. I am trying to stay away from princessy stuff as she already has some.

So far I have Mellissa and Doug builders set (free with Tesco Points) a Mellissa and Doug toolbox, half price £5.50 in Clintons months ago.

I bought a minnie mouse chefs hat and a tea towel from Poundland. I plan to buy a chef outfit and hospital scrubs outfit from a local company called Bonnies Workshop. The outfits are designed so that little ones can dress themselves and are fantastic quality. I have a stethescope (real one)in my ebay basket, I will just shorten the tubing. I am watching on here for any other ideas.

parentallyinept · 31/08/2014 14:27

Well I've just collected my Elsa dress order from Asda, it's perfect - thanks to whoever (sorry I can't remember who) recommended them. Just got to wait for my youngest daughter's Anna dress to be delivered now!

Argos have a lot of coats reduced including firetrap and trespass - just search coat then refine by section.

Neeko · 31/08/2014 15:38

Lidl are doing a set of 3 decorative boxes for £6.99 from Thursday. Might be good for those of you doing hampers this year.

1980jm · 31/08/2014 17:04

Thanks leavesalmondoutofit, had a look at the Bonnies website, I do like the scrubs!
The Melissa and Doug stuff is great but hard to find at less than full price. Not that I'm a cheapskate but DD is getting 2 other big presents so I don't want to spend £££ on this.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 31/08/2014 17:16

What sort of costumes are you thinking of and are you at all crafty? I have made quite a few costumes from fabric scrap bins and elastic!

TeWiSavesTheDay · 31/08/2014 17:18

Also old sarongs, selection of random hats that aren't fashionable any more, my/dh's old school uniform, our old fancy dress outfits (we used to get invited to a lot of costume parties)...

Reastie · 31/08/2014 17:39

leave DD has some amazing dress up stuff my sister bought her from TKMaxx. A very non princessy lion and a dragon costume.

Reastie · 31/08/2014 17:40

Oh, and I also got a lovely cat in the hat costume for DD in the sainsburys sale last year, might be worth keeping an eye in supermarkets.

TenMinutesEarly · 31/08/2014 17:42

Tx maxx often have fancy dress reduced. They have some online ANC usually more in store.

1980jm · 31/08/2014 17:45

Thanks will def check out the big supermarkets - I rarely go as my local ones are pretty small. Love TKMaxx anyway I can't believe I hadn't thought of looking there!
By the way Reastie these threads are awesome thanks Grin.

1980jm · 31/08/2014 17:47

Sorry meant to say I'm going to get her one princess dress but I'm really looking for other outfits like pirate / cowboy / random hats etc.

BuildersBum · 31/08/2014 17:51

I second TK Maxx for dressing up things too.
They often have Melissa & Doug outfits in, if you go regularly to check you can catch some with lovely red clearance price stickers on Wink

Sainsburys have nice dressing up costumes too, but wait for the next 25%.

I scour the charity shops for dressing up things, scarves handbags etc as well as hats & wigs.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 31/08/2014 18:07

Sainsburys have half price 3 wick candles to £3.75 in selected scents. I got a few clean cotton ones as gifts.
