As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

Just bought a toothpaste squeezer for a cracker prize in my homemade crackers. I love how the 'things people who viewed this item also bought' was all things from this page Grin

Has anyone got any suggestions for nice advent calendars that you can put your own things in? With fair sized pockets/drawers?

I was going to make a felt one this year, but have not got round to it once again!

JessesGirl · 27/08/2014 19:41

Got some bargains in asda today, if you have one near you it might be worth a look! Got a remote control car for £1, disney Sophia the first dress up shoes for £2 and a skylanders swap force storage bag which holds 32 figures for £5. They were all in a big steel cage by the door with other random reduced items including party ware/towels/ magic trees!

Barbeasty · 27/08/2014 20:00

Admiral my dad had one last year from Ikea which could fit a full size bauble in the drawers.

admiralclingus · 27/08/2014 20:02

Oooh, any idea when he bought it? Or how's much it was?

Barbeasty · 27/08/2014 20:07

I don't think it was too expensive, but can't remember- I'd hazard a guess at less than £20. He's fairly organised when it comes to Christmas, and he bought me a present from my list there- I think I sent him the list in early November.

zipzap · 27/08/2014 20:09

Just spotted that play.com have a sale on their tshirts:
www.play.com/stores/Bullshirt/Cirque%20Du%20Sale

There are all sorts of offers - 2 adult tshirts for £12 (that seem to otherwise be a tenner each), other tshirts down at £6 and 3 kids flip it tshirts that would otherwise be tenner each. They look good - especially for boys, they have a message on the front that says something along the lines of Ask to see my gorilla/cowboy/dinosaur etc and then there's something printed on the inside of the tshirt so that when they pull the bottom of the tshirt over their head it looks like they've got a mask of a gorilla/cowboy/dinosaur etc on it. Silly but a bit different and could be fun.

Not sure how long the sale is on for sorry - they often have lots of short lived sales so probably best to stock up earlier rather than later but they may well repeat the offers (or similar) several times before christmas.

And if you haven't already (and I can't remember if it is in the bit at the front of the thread sorry) it's worth signing up for their deal of the day email, as particularly in october/november time last year they had some great offers on just for a day on things like these tshirts and all sorts of bits and bobs.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/08/2014 20:10

Admiral I'm sure I saw some last year too in ikea. Possibly two different designs and Christmas tree and something else

NormHonal · 27/08/2014 20:12

I'm putting my faith in you, KEGirl. My DD has the Asda dresses but is expressing regret that they don't have the sequins on like her friend's one (disney store!) and also getting a bit tight after a growth spurt.

I've ordered from your eBay seller. Fingers crossed!

zipzap · 27/08/2014 20:16

Glad to see the toothpaste squeezer has been a useful! I didn't think of it before but I've just had a look to see if they do any others and there are more - some very boring functional ones but the pouting lips look fun too and also a steal at 75p.

There also seem to be other suppliers of the animal ones, some of whom for a bit more will supply a specified animal if that happens to be important! I didn't get through all 20 pages of toothpaste squeezers though to see if there were any other bargainous ones - how can they have 20 pages of toothpaste squeezers??!!??

TeWiSavesTheDay · 27/08/2014 20:17

I've ordered the asda dress -

Which means I'm officially almost done for DD1 Shock she just needs some pjs for her pile now.

I ordered some baby toys from the mothercare clearance section for £2 each - went to collect them today and one was missing so they're going to send it to our house priority post - I thought that was decent customer service.

MissLurkalot · 27/08/2014 20:45

Can anyone confirm how generous on size the Asda Elsa dress is??

admiralclingus · 27/08/2014 20:51

Thanks! I will keep my eyes peeled closer to the time then as we have one fairly local Smile

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 27/08/2014 20:53

WannaSplitAPineapple · 27/08/2014 21:33

I can't believe how much stuff I didn't realise I needed before reading this thread. How on earth have I lived without a toothpaste squeezer! DH is defo getting one of them in his stocking. Thanks for spotting them zip
I'm also racking my brains trying to think of someone I can buy some frozen stuff for, it's too much of a bargain to miss out on!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 27/08/2014 21:42

Yeah it's the big ninky nonk that I thought she's like. £50 seems a lot!

nickdrakeslovechild · 27/08/2014 21:43

In my local tesco today, they had the chill factor ice cream maker for £3.75 got one for my LO stocking and one for the present box. There were a lot on the shelf.

ASpiderInTheBath · 27/08/2014 21:47

MissLurk, my dd is 3 and the age 3-4 Elsa dress fits her perfectly. She is quite petite though so might be worth going for the next size up if your dd is average height/taller than average.

Petal7 · 27/08/2014 21:53

Just popping on to say I got some good bargains in my local John Lewis this evening. I got lovely wooly hats for my dds for £2 (from £9), earmuffs for £2.50 (again from £9) lovely girls' light summer scarves for £1.20 (from £6), pretty cloth hairbands for £1 (from £5). They also had sunglasses, knickers and socks at great prices. They were all by the regular tights and underwear.
I also got little princess dolls in the toy clearance, half price at £2.25. (also online) Great stocking fillers for my dds!
Then I went to Boots and got some Ted Baker nail sticker things for 75p, toddler curved fork and spoon for 29p, elc sticky catch pads half price at £2.50 and a Science Museum kit for £1.50. They were in the random clearance shelf, except the elc kit. A rather odd haul, but I was so pleased!
Also, got some great jewellery at 70% off in Accessorise.
My children asked their Cbeebies Christmas DVD today! I duly agreed and we all sang Jingle Bells! I am training them well...

Petal7 · 27/08/2014 21:55

Thanks to Reastie and you all for such great bargains!

RubyFlint · 27/08/2014 21:56
