As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

Ahem, I can’t actually remember if I updated the links from 2 threads ago. I think I have, but I’m not sure. If you spot any links that don’t work and you’ve already told me please tell me again in bold Thanks and sorry.

Not Christmas but my new nieces christening, anyone seen anything nice or have any good ideas?

bouquetofpencils · 27/08/2014 22:33

very Christmassy bracelet! 1.16 free shipping

I am basically just scrolling through all SODIAL listings on amazon!

Amazon must love MN. Or be very confused as to why random items suddenly spike in popularity and it's all the same people buying them!

Fellow MNers must recognise another MNer just by the gifts they give Smile

bouquetofpencils · 27/08/2014 22:36

what to get for the person who has everything

ilovelamp82 · 27/08/2014 22:38

Girlwiththeyellowhat I would love to get the ninky nonk for my ds too. I agree £50 is too much. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a bargain. Let me know if you find anything.

worm77daisy · 27/08/2014 22:41

Evilherbivore for a christening where we are to be Godparents we are giving a wooden Noah's ark toy and these tooth and curl boxes £16.50 but Not On The High Street has them for nearly £38!!

zipzap · 27/08/2014 22:48

ruby how about one of these (or even a set of them)to go with it?

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 27/08/2014 22:51

Just ordered 2 of these at £1.68 each. They have 12 pockets each so thought DC could decorate them & make our own advent calendar.

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 27/08/2014 22:52

evil Sainsburys had the wooden Noah's arc in their sale a few days ago. It was a bargain.

If anyone is looking for a Frozen Elsa dress, Asda have them back in stock! Only found out by accident, just wanted to see a photo of it and there it was. All sizes are currently available too!

Thinking of advent calendars, last year I couldn't get the advent calendar that ds1 (8) wanted but he was into match attax cards and he liked treasure hunts.

So, I bought a tin of cards which had loads of cards in, and used a pack of envelopes I already had, so drew a number on the front of the day's envelope, put in a few cards, hid it and then stuck a quick clue in a short rhyme on a post it note on the top of his brother's advent calendar. The final day I had kept back the tin, a couple of special cards and a few normal cards which made it a nice thing to have at the end.

He was happy - and it worked out much cheaper for me than buying the playmobil calendar that he was desperate for but out of stock everywhere!

So if you have dc that like the card things - be they match attax or any of the other multitude of cards or packs of things like that - it's worth thinking about as an advent calendar option if you want an easy one that's a bit different from the normal ones. It would work with the pocket holder or the little bags you get too -but obviously not so good if you've got a wooden one with little drawers (unless you put the clue into the drawer I guess) as the cards are the wrong shape.

zipzap festive fun for everyone Grin

Groupon are doing a 20 page leather bound A4 photobook for £8.95 should be £33.95. If you click on the deal they have more options availiable. I have just brought 2, 40 page books for £27.95, they should have cost £127.90. The best thing about this deal is you have till 26th November to make your books.

WeHateAmy · 28/08/2014 00:14

I've been brave and placed my order with Ali Express.

So (hopefully) DS will now be receiving these Despicable Me characters and this plush Kyle.

And all for £15, instead of the £28 it would have cost on Amazon.

I ordered from Shen Yuen Store, because I've taken to them after seeing them mentioned on here a bit, and put my faith in them not to fleece me of my money or clone my bank card.

NormHonal - the pressure!! Grin

Well, thanks for all the tips. Amazon has now robbed me of £5 this morning before 8am!! But I just had to have the toothpaste squeezer, a random lunchbag (I work from home...) and 2 stacking santa head crayons (I only have one child).

I really should hide this thread!!! but of course I never would
