would you be ready?

Our gifts are done.
We have a turkey crown, sausage meat and stuffing.

I would need:
Veg and trimmings
Puddings
Snacks
Drinks
And a team of cleaners to do the blitz I'm trying to fit in around work.

Are you ready

I'm kind of done too (thanks in no small part to the bargain threads) - could do it tomorrow if need be, but I've deliberately got organised so I can enjoy all the December festivities, so I'm really looking forward to santa visits/carol concerts etc. Would be guttted to miss all that!

Will be wrapping the final few presents tonight, writing cards tomorrow night. All being well, Mr Tesco will bring the last of my Xmas food on 22nd, and we're collecting turkey on Xmas Eve.

Bring it on!

StickChildrenTwo · 14/12/2013 13:51

Yup I'm ready too. All the presents are bought and wrapped. Meat hamper has been ordered from the butcher though so would need to pick that up. Got enough vege in to rustle up some sort of a decent roast. Got all he sweets and chocolates/ nuts etc. Bring it on!!! (except for the crazy cleaning blitz which I am doing this weekend so could Christmas please be the day after tomorrow??? Grin )

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 14/12/2013 13:54

My son would have presents and my brother would have a tshirt

That is it.

ZeViteVitchofCwismas · 14/12/2013 13:56

Yes pretty ready here, all gifts brought, would be missing some meal accompaniments...

Golddigger · 14/12/2013 13:58

I could make do.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 14/12/2013 14:03

It would be ok here. Have all presents and main bits of food. Wouldn't be through Vegas we normally have on xmas day but could still do a full dinner. Only things missing would be crackers and the cheese board.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 14/12/2013 14:03

Vegas???Vegetables obviously :)

knittedslippersx3 · 14/12/2013 14:07

We have a tree!
No food, no presents.
I really need to get moving!

Rosa · 14/12/2013 14:08

I wouldn't make it as we have to travel about 4000 miles .......

Jbck · 14/12/2013 14:10

Nope!

17leftfeet · 14/12/2013 14:11

I've got no food and only the dcs and my mum would have presents -which wouldn't be wrapped

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 14/12/2013 14:11

... I would be fucked!! and not in a nice way

I don't have a single present yet.

DontmindifIdo · 14/12/2013 14:29

well, the food is ordered, being delivered on 23rd, but other than that, yes, we're good to go. Oh, although if it was tomorrow, most of hte cards I posted yesterday wouldn't be there in time.

Rufustherednosedreindeer · 14/12/2013 16:09

Fine apart from some of the food, however I have loads of chocolate and booze so who needs food!

mrspremise · 14/12/2013 16:28

We wouldn't starve but there'd be no turkey dinner and no gifts would be wrapped it would suck

IamInvisible · 14/12/2013 16:33

The only thing I haven't got is a turkey, but I have a chicken in the freezer so we could have that instead.

Presents are wrapped, cake made, mince pies in the freezer, got veg, got sausage meat to make stuffing, got sausages and bacon for pigs in blankets, tree is up.

TinselandGretel · 14/12/2013 16:42

Would only need the fresh meat and veg, all presents bought and wrapped, all drinks and non perishable foods already in. I like to get sorted early to spread the cost.

MoreThanChristmasCrackers · 14/12/2013 16:45

We are ready, but only because dd has performances right up until 23rd and she needs ferrying round day and night Xmas Grin

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 14/12/2013 16:45

Our veg would be different and our meat would be tomorrow's roast but yeah we'd be fine, we have some pressies, food. None of it is really essential though.

JugglingUnwiselyWithBaubles · 14/12/2013 16:48

Absolutely not!
Next week with DC still at school is still essential for me with lots of pressies left to get - especially for wider family
We have tree and decs up (since last weekend) but that's about it so far

  • have couple of things for dd and ds

Hope it comes together OK this year
Wish me luck Xmas Grin (manic Christmas grin right back at ya)

  • We're going for simple!

So glad I'm not the only one - this is much more soothing than the twitching thread who've all been ready since October - the fuckers!!

Me too MrsDeV - we're only going to them the day after Boxing Day, but that probably lulls me into a false sense of security as can't really go shopping on Boxing Day? I think next week will be busy!
