Just that really. Keep looking at them as an option for 5yo DD1.

My 2 dds have these and love them -much older than 5 though!

JKSLtd · 28/10/2013 12:43

Dd (2) has one and loves it - it goes away with us everywhere.

I'm thinking of getting one each for the boys too but not seen where to get them yet - dd's was a present last year from someone else.

SoupDragon · 28/10/2013 12:44

DD (7) loves hers.

MuffCakes · 28/10/2013 12:47

My two almost 8 and 6 have had them the last two years and love them. Especially things like camping and staying out at friends houses as they have their own pillow with them.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 28/10/2013 12:47

Sounding good so far :) Amazon have some for about a tenner.

My DCs (1, 5 and 7) got them for Xmas last year and love them.
The only warning I have is don't buy fake ones - I got one fake one and the seams came apart and all the stuffing came out. This didn't happen with the real ones.

jamtoast12 · 28/10/2013 13:15

Mine love them but not as an actual pillow (fairly unconfortable shape!) but love to cuddle.

raisah · 28/10/2013 13:23

How can you tell the fake one apart from the genuine one? What should I look out for?

greenhill · 28/10/2013 13:25

My 6 yo has the unicorn one, they're about £8 in Sainsbury's. It is much loved.

littlemissnormal · 28/10/2013 13:40

I think that Pillow Pets is their trademarked name, but I might be wrong!

RandomMess · 28/10/2013 13:42

My dds aged 8,10 & 11 all love theirs!

3bunnies · 28/10/2013 13:43

Mine love their fake ones.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 28/10/2013 13:43

Thanks all. Sounds like a winner :) Now, dog, ladybird or unicorn?

My two girls have a lion and a rabbit from Debenhams last year in the sale. I don't think they're actual pillow pets but they are much loved & go all over with the girls Smile

Gileswithachainsaw · 28/10/2013 13:56

Both my dds love theirs. One has a pig the other a unicorn. They are very much loved and they won't sleep without them.

DesperatelySeekingSedatives · 28/10/2013 14:27

DD (6) and DS (2) got one each last christmas and still have them in their beds. DD's is a ladybird and DS has a bumble bee.

DipMeInChocolate · 28/10/2013 14:32

DD 5yrs loves hers and uses it as a pillow on top of her normal pillow.

Mittensonkittens · 28/10/2013 14:46

Ds (4) has one of the light up ones tha projects stars onto the ceiling. He adores it and if he wakes in the night and is scared he puts his pillow pet light on (stays on for 20 mins) instead of shouting for me!

sadmum1000 · 28/10/2013 15:00

DD has a penguin. It goes everywhere with us. Loves it so much that when we go away by plane and have to leave it at home, she sends it a postcard.

OVOntToSuckYourBlood · 28/10/2013 15:05

My 5 year old has the panda one (his nickname is panda) and he loves it. Uses it in bed every night.

I've bought the elephant for my soon to be 9 year old ds's birthday as he was very envious of his brothers. Sainsburys had some £10.

Marne · 28/10/2013 16:28

Dad has one, she got it 2 years ago and still loves it ( she's almost 10 ), she has asked for another one this year or a cuddleupit.

MirandaWest · 28/10/2013 16:29

I'm thinking of getting them for DS and DD for Christmas

Marne · 28/10/2013 16:31

Ours is a pillow pal and its the same as the pillow pets, so e of the cheaper ones are a bit smaller though, I would buy them in sainsburys as they have them for £10 ( they had quite a few different ones when I went in last week including the elephant and unicorn ).

Bumpinthenight · 28/10/2013 16:41

Sorry to hijack but the light up ones...doesn't the plastic stop them from being able to be used as a pillow? Looks like it would be uncomfortable.

Piffpaffpoff · 28/10/2013 16:42

Have them, love them!
