nickdrakeslovechild · 24/10/2013 22:18

When we have all finished our shopping we should do a thread on how much we have spent - but how much we have saved. My OH thinks I am mad buying all my stuff and I've now finished, unless you lot find more things that I cant resist but when I said how much we have saved he suddenly got really interested!

Picturesinthefirelight · 24/10/2013 22:21

Ok folks this is a biggie.

6 months ago I promised dd & ds their main joint Xmas present would be an x box with kinect

What/where is the cheapest place to buy from?

WeleaseWodger · 24/10/2013 22:29

Special trip for the ginormous baileys bottle here. Other half was mightily impressed when I told him how much we saved. Thank you!

notso · 24/10/2013 22:37

What's this about a ginormous bottle of Baileys??

guiltyconscience · 24/10/2013 22:39

Chocolateteabag · 24/10/2013 22:44

New thread tomorrow Guilty Reastie is in bed early tonight (getting herself back to fighting form to start thread 18)

neddle · 24/10/2013 22:45

armani Scout was £11.99

notso Morrissons 1l Baileys (regular and orange?) £9 down from £19.??
While stocks last.

I bought 4 (but I don't even like it) for dh and my parents for christmas.

nickdrake I have a spreadsheet Blush, my total spend is about 51% of the rrps.

nickdrakeslovechild · 24/10/2013 22:49

Spreadsheets are good neddle I've saved hundreds.

notso · 24/10/2013 22:51

I was hoping it would have been elsewhere, my Morries only has the orange flavour , if I buy a litre from Sainsburys do they still do that voucher giving you the difference?

notso · 24/10/2013 22:56

Anyone know anything about cancelling Amazon orders? Just placed an order then realised I'd selected the wrong card, have tried to cancel in my orders but nothing is showing up.

Trazzletoes · 24/10/2013 23:01

Mamma my pleasure Grin

I may have decided to keep mine. I can't bring myself to part with blue sparkles!!!

Also thanks for the link to the Cath Kidston necklace. I got the slightly more expensive plain burgundy one and it's gorgeous. I do need to give that one away though Sad

frazzled74 · 24/10/2013 23:07

just spent £109 in toys r us, got some items half price plus free lego chima storage case, used code 99080969990 for £5 off, got £15 voucher for spending £100 plus 15% cashback via quidco and free delivery. so effectively £175 worth of toys for £75 !

Rugbylovingmum · 24/10/2013 23:09

This isn't really a discount sorry, just after some input. I noticed that on Groupon this week they have an 'experience' type voucher for £34- you get to drive a supercar round a track. I'm thinking about getting it for DP for xmas - one of the venues is really close to us and he has always said he'd like to drive an Astin Martin DB9 which is one of the options. Has anyone done one of these or bought one as a gift - how was it? I think he'd enjoy it and (it's not too expensive) but not sure.

Theonlyoneiknow · 24/10/2013 23:13

I bought a fancy dress costume (not Halloween) at sainsbo tonight and it went through half price, there weren't any sale tickets on it. It was a pirate costume. Lots of toys left so picked up a few stocking fillers and a couple of orchard games that had a third off

RhondaJean · 24/10/2013 23:14

Notso that's a point about sainsbos, I wonder if they would give you the voucher?

RhondaJean · 24/10/2013 23:19

Guys as we have only five posts left on here I have taken the liberty of doing this...

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/Christmas/1891733-An-overnight-holding-thread-for-reasties-bargain-hunters

Just so we can chat on overnight till reastie is up and has a new thread ready.

Please note I am NOT trying to start a new bargain thread there as such so if anyone posts an offer please also repost on the proper new thread later. This is just a space so we can chat.

Theimpossiblegirl · 24/10/2013 23:21

That's lovely, Rhonda. I'm sure Reastie will appreciate it.

TheIggorcist · 24/10/2013 23:23

Can anyone who downloaded the mothercare app (to get £10 off a £50 spend) tell me how you get the discount?
I haven't an email or anything. Or is it automatic?

Just spent a fortune at the works, but 25% off is just too good to resist!

notso · 24/10/2013 23:25

Good idea Rhonda.

greedygoose · 24/10/2013 23:31

Ding Dong Merrily Smile

Rockchick1984 · 24/10/2013 23:32

Iggor there's a little envelope on the homepage of the app, there will be a message with a code there :)

losersaywhat · 25/10/2013 19:03
