Our very large Sainsbury's had a lot of very reduced (70% off) but nice stationery bits and bobs, suitable for young and older girls in particular!

Badvoc · 24/10/2013 17:56

Pogo...they did the same to me

Pogosticks · 24/10/2013 17:56

Noooo take us off the news - I don't want everyone knowing about these bargains!!

Glad you are getting better Reastie, and yes COME BACK Isaac.

AND pleeeeeeeeease someone tell me, should I get the pink or black bag?

supermariossister · 24/10/2013 18:00

black Grin. much more classic

IHeartKingThistle · 24/10/2013 18:01

Pink! But I suppose it depends what kind of pink. Barbie, no. Raspberry, yes.

MooseyMoo · 24/10/2013 18:02

Black - classic and will go with everything

JerseySpud · 24/10/2013 18:04

Oh no! We don't want these threads becoming common knowledge! More people to fight with!

issynoho · 24/10/2013 18:05

Pogostick Do the link then we'll be able to tell you which one!

Pogosticks · 24/10/2013 18:05

shelley72 · 24/10/2013 18:06

A few pages back (or maybe threads - I've lost track) there was some talk about a beer club or something? Just wondered what it was about and if it would be a good present?

WaitMonkey · 24/10/2013 18:06

Glad your feelings better Reastie Thanks . Bet your lurking Isaac, please come back. Thanks
I went to Sainsburys yesterday. Don't think I will bother making a special trip next year. Very disappointing.Sad

caffeinated · 24/10/2013 18:13

Oh I just bought so many Christmas things from h and m. I didn't even know I needed a mat for my Christmas tree. Plus I'm going to ikea tomorrow. Oh dear.

Picturesinthefirelight · 24/10/2013 18:15

I decided to call into Home Bargains on my way to Argos @ am glad I did. The Skylanders sets were better & cheaper than the one I'd reserved in Argos.

Re dds friend. He likes Matilda but I'd guess he has a programme. Theatre merchandise us generally very expensive for what it is.

EightToSixer · 24/10/2013 18:15

Ive ordered tons from this thread so far, thank you. The one I really want is GHD straighteners, but I can't get the website to accept the GHD20 code mentioned in the OP. Does anyone have any information on codes etc for GHDs (so I can buy them for myself and get DH to pay) :)

Picturesinthefirelight · 24/10/2013 18:16

He gave dd a lovely necklace & bracelet from Claire's for her birthday with musical notes on. Harder for a boy though.

Willemdefoeismine · 24/10/2013 18:18

Funnily enough I was just looking at those handbags in-store today! I too was tempted but can't justify getting on for myself at the moment!

Pogosticks · 24/10/2013 18:21

Ooh Willem what were they like in real life? I am hoping they have a nice feel and that lovely posh smell?

Willemdefoeismine · 24/10/2013 18:23

I didn't lovingly stroke one as I was on my way out of the shop at the time but I 'clocked' them in a way that you only do for things that really like the look of...and they certainly looked classy and covetable...

Deeply [eny]..... lovely colour too - think you were wise to go for the pink (says the woman who tediously sticks to black...)

Pogosticks · 24/10/2013 18:24

Pictures what is his hair like? How about some fancy hair gel/glue/whatever the young 'uns call it nowadays, with a decent brush/comb?

My DS is a bit younger but loves doing his hair and I never let him have the really expensive stuff. It's as close to Claire's Accessories for boys as I can think of.

Pogosticks · 24/10/2013 18:25

Mmmm thanks Willem. I think I will struggle to part with it tbh. Though can't justify it for myself. And I carry around a lot more crap than would fit in it.

I will hang it in my bedroom for a week or too though just to pretend it is mine Grin

TooWetToWoo · 24/10/2013 18:25

EightToSix GHDs with free heat mat use code HUT15 for 15% discount making them £75.65 with free delivery.

Picturesinthefirelight · 24/10/2013 18:30

That's sort if a good idea (except I have no idea what good hair brands are)

His hair used to be long but he had to have it cut short above the ears for his new school & his mum said they were both gutted.

Dd uses spray gel as hairspray is banned in school but its in a Gorky pink bottle from Boots.

guiltyconscience · 24/10/2013 18:32

I have been struggling with what to get for my dm she has everything and I was flummuxed! By chance I went to Tesco in Newport and they had loads of needle and knitting craft stuff there with prices absolutely slashed! I bought loads of stuff a knitting gauge , cable knitting pins a huge what looks like a nappy pin for keeping stitches on etc etc all down to next to nothing. So that is it I have decided she is having a knitting hamper. Bought her 2 boxes of things to knit and a little book with loads of knitting patterns just going to get her some wool now and with the books I havbought her think she is finished! So anyone needs this sort of thing get to Mr t really good bargains for those who love their crafts I even thought well if she has these already they are the sort of thing you could mislay very easily so need several !

EightToSixer · 24/10/2013 18:35

Thanks TooWet, I'm particularly looking for the ones with a heat bag for travelling and that turn off automatically I left my old ones on for ten hours once and scorched the counter Blush but hopefully your link will be useful for someone else.

guiltyconscience · 24/10/2013 18:35
