Thanks for ASOS link. I have seen a purse that I think will do for SIL. There is a bag she'd love but it's over budget and ASOS don't seem to have any codes at the moment.

Pre-order is available for Ron Burgandy's autobiography and Musings book for £3.85 (RRP £16.99) on Amazon. Release date 16th November. I don't know very many people, males in particular that wouldn't really appreciate this book. Hope this helps someone.

Twin dolls John Lewis info for Rosie .
We have the dolls - although a slightly older version (from 3 years ago) so not totally certain about the new ones. However I will be at our local JL store on Saturday and would be happy to check for you if you like?!? The ones we have are about 30 cm long, plastic/rubber heads prob about 10cm. Soft bodies, nice to cuddle - ours are plain white fabric tummies, arms and legs with plastic hands and feet. Nice details on hands like fingernails etc. You can remove clothes on ours but they were wearing a top and trousers more like pyjamas so not sure about the new babygrow design. Don't think they can go in the washing machine but ours look quite ok with the amount of play they have had! I really like them - we were able to talk about babies a lot with my son before his sister arrived - and have gone on to buy buggies, bath and high chair for the "babas". Smile

Was in Sports Direct today - something I always try to avoid - and they have a section which is, bizarrely, full of One Direction and Disney stuff. Notepads, pens, all sorts of stationery and some toiletries, all really cheap, lots for £1.

They also had these big sets which would look a decent size when wrapped (always a consideration!) - you get notepad, pens, pencils, sharpener, eraser, calculator etc, for whatever football club and they're £3.99. There were odd things football related too like packs of disposable razors with club names for £1 - it really is a bizarre shop.

This has maybe already been posted but Asda had a boxed set of six small Yankee candles, all different scents, down to £2.50.

Primark had Xmas knickers (women's sizes) for £1 a pair, and they were actually quite nice Smile . . . They also had boxed mugs (in the men's sections) down to £1, with a picture of Lionel Ritchie and 'is it tea you're looking for?' on them . . . I know, I know . . . desperate times.

SilkySocksSinkShips · 17/10/2013 23:04

Does anybody know of an ELC code or have one they won't use?

I can offer a Vertbaudet code, 5935, £15 off £20 spend on their 30% off Autumn collection and free baking kit. This was one in an email sent to me so not sure if others can use it but I used a code and received the baking kit already (it's lovely!)

NewShoesTwoShoes · 17/10/2013 23:12

Morrisons had Disney Magic Flannels reduced today to £1.50 I think. (Squashed into a shape, put in the bath and they expand into a towelling flannel) Princess (Ariel, Cinderella, Tinkerbell and Cars/Planes designs. Good for stocking fillers. Like this one which is out of stock on Amazon . I wanted to buy them but had DD with me watching...

Sadly, I really like Top Trumps - I like Top Trumps Tournament even more. This is only £5 on Amazon (instead of £24.99 - and 98p postage) - although it's from the Olympics, you still get 6 packs, and the thing about the tournament version is that you get all the bits so you can chop and change with your own packs. I'm a bit pathetic.
