Frazzled, I had an email from uniquo earlier saying they had OK stock coming back in shortly. They sold lovely scares for £9·40 which everybody on the bargain thread bought several of

Giraffe, my basket did the same but when I checked out other sellers, the majority of things were still actually still in stock for a couple of pennies more.

Iamsanta, you can get cheap ish minecraft wristbands on eBay, various cuddly minecraft characters. I'm thinking of doing a minecraft mousemat for ds - he takes hundreds of screen shots of his handiwork, so it's easy to get a suitable image!

VoldemortsNipple · 19/10/2013 22:53

Rhonda, check out Primark for sound pillows. I paid £7 each for them last year for the dcs.

JustasmallGless · 19/10/2013 22:59

ilikesweetpeas there is a website and magazines for the little beggars Wink
I can link to the houses etc if you are interested
Check out eBay for bundles

Does anyone know where I can get some nice baskets for making up hampers? I've tried Home Bargains but they haven't had any in my local one although somebody upthread said they weren't the best quality anyway.

I'm looking to spend around £5 per basket, I don't need them to be huge, just making little bath hampers for my 3 nieces.

giraffeseatpineapples · 19/10/2013 23:06

I got some baskets in Tiger last year, they werent amazing quality but were quite pretty. No sign of christmas bits on their website yet though.

500internalerror · 19/10/2013 23:10

Letterbox had sets of 3 striped baskets for £7 in the sale, but I didn't look what size. The red & white ones might be nice as hampers? With ribbon round?

BeaWheesht · 19/10/2013 23:21

I've just ordered this ezyroller for ds . I haven't seen one before but we fancied getting him something like this and it's less than half price right now.

Ihopeyoudance · 19/10/2013 23:24

Thanks for the small print on the vertbaudet code BuffyFairy. I first of all tried a pair of jeans and cardigan which were discounted but from the winter collection and came to more than £20. No £15 off but baking set added. Then I tried these trousers £21, full price and winter collection. Still no £15 off!
I think I will have to give up.

JustasmallGless · 19/10/2013 23:25

Creepy, you can order the home bargains hampers online to be delivered in store. I thought they were fine for what I paid tbh

serin · 19/10/2013 23:30

Well I put up the £15 Tesco Xmas tree for a trial today and it really does look a lot more expensive. Very pleased with it.

We have always bought a real one in the past but the prices at our local forestry are unbelievable, I will spend the saving on a nice takeaway treat for us all.

MrsCocoa · 19/10/2013 23:36

Thanks for whoever mentioned cosmetic fairy. Just order 24 items (including Bourjois, Essie and Urban Decay) for under £17, including delivery. Great stocking fillers for teens/girl friends.

ShoopShoop · 19/10/2013 23:59

ihope that's strange - it worked ok for me. I got DD this dress and this jacket. The money that came off both amounted to £15 in total and the baking set was added to the order too....

Not sure what else to suggest other than emailing them or calling them? Sorry.....

For any foodie friends or those doing hampers..

M&S Food has t's own ' Spicery' - esque seasoning packets - 4 or 5 different ones, at 1.99 each, plus lots of ' anti pas to' - esque jars of olives, marinades, peppers, chutneys etc - various prices 1.99-3.29 etc but on 3 for 2.
MUCH better value than the 'get set' versions that you all see n the Boots etc Xmas ranges - when they try and flog you 2 x balsamic vinegar and a porcine dish for 12 quid... :)

Reastie · 20/10/2013 06:07

someone was after a childs suitcase. Just spotted animal themed suitcases and trolley cases on zulilly if that's any use?

Cuddles159 - if you download the mothercare app they will give you a code for £10 off a £50 spend to be used online. Not sure what that works out in terms of % but it's something.

morning.

ilovepeas - moshi monsters is a range based on a computer game a bit like club penguin. merchandise is everywhere but the craze is diminishing so you will find lots of stock on sale at a very good price. main thing is collectible figures but now clothes, lunchboxes etc

zipzap · 20/10/2013 08:11

Washi tape is also cheap on eBay - just do a search for it and loads comes up except the one like a road that I wanted for ds1 and it's all out or expensive

zipzap · 20/10/2013 08:14

And can I just day how good it is to hear that I am not the only one who does this that things can be lost and then found after 10 years GrinGrin
