I do love this thread but I keep getting tempted to spend on myself. I really want the Boots advent calendar and the Book People Booker Prize Collection. But I will resist! Unless I can accumulate enough Boots points by 1st Dec in which case I am having that calendar...

I got my DB and SIL a Spicery subscription for their birthdays and it went down a treat. Think I'll get some of the sale packs as little stocking fillers for Christmas.

Any ideas what to get an 8yo boy for a main present?

He's mad about football, but he's got balls, goals, gloves, boots etc.

Likes Spiderman et al. but isn't really that bothered about playing with figures. I think the Imaginext stuff might be too young?

We don't have Hexbugs yet and I'm looking at that, but the stuff doesn't seem to be main present worthy - more as add ons.

We're not ready for tablets etc. as he's #2 of 4 and I can't get away with doing one without all of them.

Neddle what about keeping an eye on the Amazon warehouse deals in sports. Lots of scooters etc for that age range come up cheap as they aren't supplied in itiginal packaging which doesn't matter if your assembling it before Xmas.
