Disappointing shopping day here. No squinkies in Poundland. TK Maxx didn't have the Crayola Glow Book I want for DD instore (I don't want to pay the postage online), and a big fat meh to the Tesco sale.

Playmobil advent calendars require A LOT of assembly.

I have justified buying them to DH by saying it will be a special beer fuelled evening putting the boxes together. I bought mine from the playmobil website along with some other bits. They have a camping set with a tent for £8/10 as we still have my playmobil camper van from twenty five years ago and they are sending free gifts of a DVD, Halloween set and girl multiplay set, all of which will come in very useful. I've also got some of the direct pirate sets which feature in the iPad game.

Joycey from a quick search amazon is definitely your best bet. Quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
Might be worth tracking on camel if it's for Christmas.

The newer playmobil advent calendars don't require assembly. We had the ones that need assembly the first year we had them. What a PITA they were!

The new ones are more like standard advent calendars.

Agree with Showgirl - Tiger had a nice-looking puppet theatre at a low price (don't remember exactly, but something of the order of £6-£7 IIRC) a couple of weeks ago.

Yes, you used to have to spend a good couple of hours assembling Playmobil advent calendars but the last couple have required virtually nothing.
