Special festive title for spottyteacakes Grin . Here we go people, the THIRD bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

MESSAGE POSTED ON VERTBAUDET FACEBOOK PAGE . - We recently sent out a promotion which included a Free gift (a choice of Tea set or Tool kit). We are so sorry, but the code was leaked to a user generated offers website which was not authorised by ourselves. As a result we have run out of stock. This offer was intended for our top customers only and we are very upset to have disappointed you in this way. We are looking into how to prevent this in future. Please accept our apologies - we are more than happy to try and offer you a more age appropriate replacement gift ? please private message us or email [email protected]

iloveholidays · 23/08/2013 15:37

that's interesting. I sent quite a stroppy email earlier. hopefully they'll offer better gift although doubt it!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 15:38

Oh interesting. I will email them later. Maybe just tell then the ages of my dc and hope they can find something for one of them...

supermariossister · 23/08/2013 15:39

ive emailed too and said the same, sports bag unsuitable but would happily do a different free gift and hopefully order from them again if its sorted out instead of just sending me the bag!

iloveholidays · 23/08/2013 15:46

well I replied saying bad customer service and that I could understand if the gift was comparable but it wasn't. also to advise how I go about returning items and to cancel my account. Also said that I'd be saying on the forum I'd heard about the gift that I'd been completely misled!!!!

Might have got their backs up but will see what comes back!!!!

supermariossister · 23/08/2013 15:49

i think thats half the problem to say it was leaked on a user generated website and they will look into how to stop this from happening. i was under the impression you couldnt stop people from posting good deals, bargains ect and surely it would of been easier once they had run out of stock to just say out of stock sorry rather than the odd substitute

iloveholidays · 23/08/2013 15:53

yes I would not have a problem if they'd sent something actually that would suit similar age child. I also think they were still offering the items after they'd run out which is really bad Angry

SnowFrickenWhite · 23/08/2013 16:06

Does anyone have a code for ELC? have been looking but cant see anything :(

MintChocAddict · 23/08/2013 16:14

Thanks very to those up the thread a bit who have solved the mystery re: the robot.
It was in the tracking section that I saw the 29/8 date and not in the original acknowledgement, so no-one has hacked into my email and removed the date Grin or other such conspiracy theories. Wink

God, I've just boxed up my latest stash of presents. Blush

I need to hide this thread. I have bought LOADS!

ValiumQueen · 23/08/2013 16:35

If they are making these special offers for their special clients only, they need to generate unique codes, like ELC does as the birthday code can only be used once. I have been sent codes in the past that say 'not transferable' but it is up to them, not the client to ensure transfer is not possible.

FriskyHenderson · 23/08/2013 16:36

www.thepaperie.co.uk/ are offering 20% off all orders over £25 placed between now and 31st August - just enter the code SCHOOL20

I've just done an H&M order with code 0659. Which I'm sure I'll regret when half of it still isn't here by Christmas.

If anyone's looking for an idea for a present for their parents or ILs, this journal might be an idea - it's currently £8.50 instead of £13.70 on Amazon. It's basically a journal for a grandparent to fill in about their life to give to their grandchild to read - at the top of each page there questions 'what was it like when I was a child', what the biggest changes he's seen in his life etc. I gave one to my Dad last year and thought he'd be a big 'meh' about it, but within a couple of days he'd started writing in it. He hasn't finished it yet, but he's got a few years to go before DD can read it (she's 20 months!)

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 17:01

Snow I LOVE that. But do I give it to my grandad or one of the dc grandad?!

shufflebum · 23/08/2013 17:07

Oooh Milk that's a good deal thanks!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/08/2013 17:10

Snow it's £3 on play.com

lazzaroo · 23/08/2013 17:12

I e-mailed vertdaubet earlier about free gift. stated my dsappointment, equired as to alternative age appropriate free gift & tat tvwas likely I woukd ebd up returning items if not. Just got my reply, basically saying they had run out of stock and reserved the right to provide alternative free gift. In this case it's the bag and is in it's way Sad.

Won't bother with them again.

lazzaroo · 23/08/2013 17:14

snow I love those journals. Gave them as gifts from DD for her first Xmas. Generally went down well apart from fil, his reply was 'well, you can have that straight back'. Nice!

iloveholidays · 23/08/2013 17:18

lazzaroo. I had the same reply but have since emailed again saying that I'd seen on Facebook they are offering alternative gifts and how do I go about it. will let you know if I get a reply. I really wouldn't have minded at all if I'd actually got something I would use!
