Special festive title for spottyteacakes Grin . Here we go people, the THIRD bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 22/08/2013 15:23

Also if they're honouring it for some surely they have to do it for everyone?

Chockywockydoodah · 22/08/2013 15:35

janx Message Monster they were on sale previously at £2 but now back up to £8 :(

whoneedstosleep · 22/08/2013 15:35

I haven't received a phonecall yet re the robot.
My account still says "to be delivered".

I'm thinking they will just refund my account.

janx · 22/08/2013 15:37

Thanks Chocky - need to be quicker off the mark Hmm. Do you have one? Are they any good

Mrswilliams87 · 22/08/2013 15:49

Dont know if this will work but its worth a try, ive logged into Hope education and in my account it shows robot at 13.19 and it says " to be delivered 29/08/2013" i know this is not a confirmation as such but technically they have said they WILL be delivering ........anyway i have took a screen shot on my iohone and will try to use this along with trading standers jargen when and if they contact me :)

lilylaville · 22/08/2013 15:52

just ordered a couple of pairs of pjs from character.com. My DD is 20 months and a little on the small size so will 18-24 be suitable for those who have already purchased? Are they true to size?

Thanks for the link.

lazzaroo · 22/08/2013 15:54

Oh blimey, what to do about the robot kerfuffle! I missed a call this morning from withheld number. No message left but I wonder if it was them. I'll definitely kick up a fuss if some get it and not others. If they just refund my account with no communication I will ring them.

Also had dispatch confirmation e-mail from vertdaubet, stating 'sports bag'. Gutted.

Not having much luck with these bargains!

Chockywockydoodah · 22/08/2013 15:56

janx yes I got couple of msg monsters for the present drawer. They look good and are nicely packaged, not seen one in action yet but reviews were good :)

SpottyTeacakes · 22/08/2013 15:57

Did you try and get the tea set lazza?

ipswichwitch · 22/08/2013 15:57

robot update: just got a call from hope saying that they had made a mistake with the pricing on the website, and that since the robots were out of stock when I ordered they wouldn't be able to let me have it at the cheaper price, but I could have it for £34 instead of the £39 they were supposed to be on sale for! I have said no as I've seen it cheaper elsewhere so I've cancelled it. Gutted, but knew it was too good to be true.
apologies if others have already posted similar, not had time to catch up with the thread

JustBecauseICan · 22/08/2013 15:58

I am starting my annual photo gifts for the grandparents etc slog early this year....
photoworld is offering 100 free 6 x 4 prints for postage of £2.25 only with code MSEPRINTS11
Also doing half price canvas prints I notice. Will scout round and see if anyone else can better that. Lots of mini photo books for around a £5 advertised on MSE too.

MrsSheepiness · 22/08/2013 16:20

Running and anyone else involved in the robot saga, I just explained that I had seen the details of the robot and its price on an internet forum which prompted me to place my order and that several people here had had the robot delivered for the advertised lower price therefore I felt they were on a sticky wicket legally to not give it to me at that price, then I mumbled on a bit about consumer rights...they are probably banking on everyone just accepting what they are saying and aren't prepared for anyone to try and call them on it. Hope this helps.

98percentchocolate · 22/08/2013 16:21

Just a quick q for those that have received their robots - did you get another order confirmation or did you just receive the acknowledgment? The law states thatching ever comes first, the order confirmation or delivery is the finalisation of the binding contract. If they are only sending out acknowledgements then this would be the finalisation of the contract which would mean that they would be in breach of contract if they refuse to deliver - regardless of a pricing error.

98percentchocolate · 22/08/2013 16:22

Thanks MrsS - if/when they call me I'm going to give them hell until they agree. I'm usually very meek but will stand up for my daughter and she wants that robot!!!

MooseyMoo · 22/08/2013 16:27

Bodyshop have a couple of codes (on their homepage). £25 off a £50 spend and 40% off all purchases. I don't think you can stack the codes

Also their hand cream is half price

starjules · 22/08/2013 16:28

I had an order acknowledgement on the 16th which I think is the day or the after I ordered it, saying it would be despatched within 2-4 days. And it arrived yesterday. so no actual confirmation.

98percentchocolate · 22/08/2013 16:37

starjules I love you. That means that they've entered a contract with anyone that received this email according to the e commerce act of 2002 and according to their own terms and conditions (which I've been studying because I'm bored)
Also, that email states that delivery will take place within 1-2 weeks of the requested date. This is misleading the customer (us) into believing that the "offer" has been accepted and a contract has been entered into.
Legally, they are on very shaky ground indeed.
That, and honouring some of the orders at that price means that you can probably object enough to rattle them at the very least.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/08/2013 16:37

My order acknowledgement was on the 17th immediately after I placed which makes me think its automated as that's the only email they send though I think that counts as confirmation

98percentchocolate · 22/08/2013 16:38

Can you tell that they've really pissed me off? I'm so sorry to get everyone's hopes up the other day. I never would've posted if I wasn't sure but the woman on the phone said it was fine. Sad

iloveholidays · 22/08/2013 16:39

Mrssheep. can you advise what you actually said to honour the price?

iloveholidays · 22/08/2013 16:44

sorry Mrs, just seen your reply

starjules · 22/08/2013 16:46
Blush
SpottyTeacakes · 22/08/2013 16:56

I emailed themBlush I couldn't wait. I will let you know if/when I get a reply
