Here we go people, the second bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

toisa · 15/08/2013 20:17

Their towels don't get good reviews on here which is a shame and it's difficult to find nice kiddy ones...lego towel

NigellaEllaElla · 15/08/2013 20:22

olivo The No MoreSocks app is def there as I've got it and my friend got it this morning BUT it is only available on iPhone not iPad.

starjules · 15/08/2013 20:30

Buffy, I heard ELC are not doing the birthday codes anymore. I havent had any this year either.

Bluetinkerbell · 15/08/2013 20:30

you lot crashed WHSmith and I'm kicking myself I didn't check out before I had my dinner :(

sameoldIggi · 15/08/2013 20:34

I got the iPhone ap, but I have an iPad, iyswim.
It seems to work fine.

Slainte · 15/08/2013 20:37

Ah, that'll be why it doesn't work properly on my iPad then, doh!

olivo · 15/08/2013 20:37

Ooh, thank you, I like the look of that website, never used it before.

And thanks for the advice on apps, I will try the phone selection for my iPad.

olivo · 15/08/2013 20:38

Got it, thanks!

Now I can work out just how many too many I have bought.....Wink

Murtette · 15/08/2013 20:50

Just been browsing on the Studio website & they have personalised football pencil cases for £4.99 which will be perfect for some of the children I know.

PoppyWearer · 15/08/2013 20:56

I have bought lots too many....enough to sort Christmas and birthdays for a couple of years to come. BlushBlush

However: those WHSmith book bundles are amazing!

Crutchlow35 · 15/08/2013 20:56

Do 9 year old boys still need colouring pencils? For a token gift!

Crutchlow35 · 15/08/2013 20:59

If not, any books from the book bundles you could suggest?

Theonlyoneiknow · 15/08/2013 21:02

Thanks for the book bundles! I get a couple every year to stock up the pressie cupboard but had missed these ones :)

desertbaby · 15/08/2013 21:12

I'd love the recipe books bundle but I want the books in the photo, not a pot luck!

Does alone have an experience of buying book bundles from WHSmith? Are they as good as they look?

olivo · 15/08/2013 21:15

Uh oh, I am checking out all the clearance pages on studio......

Reastie · 15/08/2013 21:17

yes desert that was my thoughts too. The bundles on WH site look really good, but I haven't bought them as I'm Confused I might get the bargain basement books they're desperate to get rid of which aren't that good.

FrantasticO · 15/08/2013 21:23

olivio
List manager app for android phones is great and only £1.50

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 15/08/2013 21:58

Wish the book bundle of That's Not My.. books was available. Its not showing a price as its sold out Confused

ValiumQueen · 15/08/2013 22:11

I had a birthday code through from ELC last month. Might be worth asking in store.

Oreocrumbs · 15/08/2013 22:23

I posted an ELC birthday code on the last thread. Might be worth searching for that - not sure if anyone used it but worth a try.

Otherwise I would give them a ring. You can register 6 children with the birthday club (you can do it online too) and each code is valid for a couple of months IIRC, so just make up a few kids and get codes sent throughout the year.

ValiumQueen · 15/08/2013 22:41

Make up a few kids Grin I like it Grin I wonder if I could try it for tax credits!

Oreocrumbs · 15/08/2013 22:46
Grin
BuffyFairy · 15/08/2013 22:56

Thanks to the very lovely mumsnetter who let me use her ELC birthday code. Kitchen ordered for £80 plus 4% cash back. Result! And DD will be so thrilled Grin

Aw Trazzle, that's not a fail. I might make up a child with a May birthday on the ELC birthday club. Will ring you soon.

AFSURF gives 10% off at The Book People. Quidco reckon 5% off £40 spend, another site says 10% off £35 spend. It's definitely 10% but my order was over £40 anyway.

Great deals at WHSmith. You can never have enough books right....
