Here we go people, the second bargain Christmas thread for 2013 already . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Poundland has some official Olympic taxis for £1 each. I know they are 2012 but my kids will love them as stocking fillers.

Have just spent way too long on www.7dayshop.com - originally planning to get a spare camera battery and SD card, but now have a rapidly filling basket...

There's a big bargain section, plus home section, lots of things suitable for blokes/boys or gadget mad folks and practical but boring presents (the spare sd card for the camera, the spare battery, a torch etc!)

Delivery seems to start at £1.99 and go up to £5.99 depending on size and contents of your package.

However, things that might appeal more include:
JML snuggle blanket with sleeves = £4.85 Price depends on colour - blue is just under a fiver, some are closer to £7 but still over half price. Can anybody say whether these are worth it - is the fabric nice or are the JML ones just cheap and nasty?

anti slip mat for dashboard - £1.99
universal holder for phones, sat nav for the car £3
panasonic torch with free key fob torch £2
little silicon frog lights you attach to bike spokes or school bags etc £3 for 2
universal 6 in 1 remote for a fiver
digital thermometers
swiss army pen knives
some kindle silicone skins for 49p or 99p depending on model
spare phone charger cords (I have their bundle of iphone plug charger and car charger that was £2, brilliant and cheap enough to have one upstairs, one downstairs /one in each car so always can stick phone on to charge wherever I am but still be near it)
power packs that you charge up that can then charge your phone or whatever if you are not near a power source (good for festivals or camping!)

order I've picked up some good olympic stuff from poundland over the last few months - cars of all sorts, sets of playing cards (that work out cheaper than buying a cheap set from the supermarket), fact books for ds1

They seem to have a slow but steady stream of it coming out...

I've also bought some nice nail varnish in there - Jessica or OPI for £1 instead of much more - probably last season's colours but a nice pinky one, a nice red one and a nice coral one that are perfectly reasonable, and a bright blue fun one (think that was by someone else). Likewise some good bourjois stuff, and nice nivea lip gloss that should have been about £4.

They also have sweet little handbag sets that are their own brand (allura?) with a little handbag mirror - very nice and flat, a little tweezers and little nail file. Very cute packaging/design on the bits, seem to be several different sets. The plastic bag it comes in lets it down - but if you managed to pick up a couple of nice nail varnishes and one of these sets, you could wrap it up nicely yourself and have a really nice looking present that cost just £2-3.

LifeIsSoDifferent · 07/08/2013 08:06

Zip I've had one of the snuggles before and I didn't think it was great quality but I can have easily irritated skin so it could of just been me. Sorry that's not much help

LifeIsSoDifferent · 07/08/2013 09:32

Peppa pig carry colour set £1.09 +39p PP

Looks like a good stocking filler

Jojay · 07/08/2013 09:35

Bargain knights and castles playset here . Was £40 now £14

whyno · 07/08/2013 09:42

I've just noticed there is a Baby and toddler event at Babies r us at the moment. Don't think I've seen it on this thread yet.

LifeIsSoDifferent · 07/08/2013 09:49

Tanks whyno, just having a look on there now and found this so I've reserved one

Fill and SpillHippo half price £7.50

BeaWheesht · 07/08/2013 10:57

Busy books are 2 for £8 in Tesco. They had jake and never land pirates, monsters university, batman, Tinkerbell, hello kitty, mickey and friends and tinkerbell.

starjules · 07/08/2013 12:39

LifeIsSoDifferent, the peppa pig carry set are in the poundshops at the moment. Also ones in tatty teddy and strawberry shortcake. I keep buying them up as stocking fillers ! LOL

saladfingers · 07/08/2013 12:45

M&S have packs 0f 20 childrens' party invitations for 10p in store today-either Fairy or Football.

Chockywockydoodah · 07/08/2013 12:45

Yeah we had the take along Peppa colouring set for £1 from Poundland. Great idea and very compact, but we found that unfortunately the pages don't lie flat enough for colouring making it very hard to colour and resulting in a frustrated child! But that was just our experience :)

LifeIsSoDifferent · 07/08/2013 14:13

They look like good little stocking fillers but my DD will be to young. I went to toys r us to get the hippo that I linked to earlier but didn't bother, I got the impression it did a little more on the Internet and don't think DD would be too interested so left it Hmm

ValiumQueen · 07/08/2013 14:14

The snuggle is very cheap quality. You could shoot peas with it, and it irritated my skin too. Also it is not a very generous fit IMO.

Also was disappointed in the Peppa pig carry colour thing. Not worth £1 even.

JustBecauseICan · 07/08/2013 14:17

BuffyFairy · 07/08/2013 14:50

Sainsburys have 1/3rd off some duplo sets, some Lego sets and some playdoh stuff. I think there was 25% off some vtech things but other than the toot toot vehicles (1 for the stocking!) I didn't pay much attention - sorry.

Now I need to download that no more socks app ( Thanks hippo) before I forget what I've bought.

whoneedstosleep · 07/08/2013 15:05

From sainsburys online
duplo train £8.65
I bought this last week for £12.99!
