I need ideas for lovely Christmas books.

The Jolly Christmas Postman arrived this morning and is so very luffly. I need more like this. I need 24 books so I can wrap them all individually and put them all out on Dec 1st and my DS's can take turns choosing each night.

I have a few others but nowhere near enough. My boys are 4 and 7 ( though 5 and 8 by Christmas!).

What are your favourites, pretty please.

The Christmas Mystery by Jostein Gaarder is magical and makes me cry every time I read it. It's for children really but it's wonderful for adults too.

One Winter's Day and One Snowy Night are lovely Christmas stories about a little hedgehog and his woolly hat. Same characters in both with different storylines, but they have gorgeous illustrations and a bit of velvety texture within the picture on each page which the DC can touch, it's a nice addition.

Plus both stories make me cry

Ooh and I've just seen another one (Also just realised that One Winter's Day is wintery rather than Christmassy) by the same author: One Christmas Night.

This is a lovely idea. We have quite a lot of Christmas books which I put away each year, but this year I think I will wrap them up as you suggest and we'll have a different one each day.
