we will be having crossants, pain au chocolat and fruit salad with champagne (bucks fizz for the kids, freshly made) and posh coffee.

buggyRunner · 21/12/2011 12:11

The usual cereal- dd1 and dp are peas in a pod and both love their cereal! Plus helps reduce the unhealthiness of Xmas!

guinealady · 21/12/2011 12:16

I seem to have ended up with spare eggs that need cooking, so scrambled eggs will be the no 1 option I think, or an omelette. If I wasn't pregnant it would be soft-boiled poached eggs for sure.

OH being very good at not taunting me by eating runny eggs in front of me but perhaps as it's Christmas I'll let him have a boiled egg and soldiers. Xmas Smile

Iamjustthemilkmachine · 21/12/2011 12:18

smoked salmon on bagels with philladelphia.

ChristinedePizaTinsel · 21/12/2011 12:22

Normally croissants but I'm doing muffins this year. Not Nigella ones, I'm making banana ones because I have some in the freezer (bananas that is, not muffins)

Haziedoll · 21/12/2011 12:24

I will be having smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, croissants and prosecco. Dh and the boys will have a full English. And as a special treat ds1 will have pink lemonade from a champagne glass.

storminabuttercup · 21/12/2011 12:29

I'm making bacon, Brie and cranberry paninis I think. Ds will have weetabix and some of my sandwich, I will wash it down with bucks fizz, dp will have coffee as his mother has him taxiing her about!

fragola · 21/12/2011 12:49

I normally don't eat breakfast, but on Christmas morning I start on the chocolate to get into the spirit of things. I generally also have some stilton to make sure I have a balanced diet, and then I'm scoffing in the kitchen all morning while cooking Christmas dinner.

jetstar · 21/12/2011 12:49

Now I'm thinking about the Nigella Christmas Muffins too!

ByTheWay1 · 21/12/2011 12:51

Bacon buttie made with bread from the breadmaker - I put it on timer the night before - SCRUMMMMMY.

OliNIvy · 21/12/2011 12:57

Croissants, coffee/tea and orange juice (possibly bubbly, once I've inhaled enough tea). Nice and simple.

I did Nigella's muffins recently. They were very nice, but not as lovely as warm croissants!

KWL51 · 21/12/2011 13:19

Scrambled eggs made with butter and double cream and lots of black pepper, served with crispy streaky bacon on top. On thick wholemeal toast again with butter! Its once a year so will go all out.
DC will probbaly have cereal and fruit though, ds2 and dd1 might be more adventurous and join me with the eggs.

LordOfTheFlies · 21/12/2011 16:24

Coffee and toast with marmalade or jam- no point trying to get DCs to sit at the table or pretend to be interested, Unless it's chocolate Xmas Grin
Big breakfast on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day though ( Linda Mc mini sausage, quorn 'bacon' eggs, potato scones, beans, fried mushroom, toast and lots of coffee. I've got one of those Perfect Housewife heated food thingies with 3 covered dishes)

thestringcheesemassacre · 21/12/2011 16:26

Bagels with cream cheese, bacon, and fresh tomatos.
OJ.
Chocolate by the truckload.

MackerelOfFact · 21/12/2011 16:32

It's usually something light - poached egg on toast or something. Or just toast. No point filling up on breakfast when there's so much chocolate Christmas dinner to get through later.
