I am aghast at those who are having Full English Fry Ups.

I bow down in deference to you oh mighty cooks! Shock

EdithWeston · 21/12/2011 10:01

Toast and Marmite.

Have you seen this year that they're selling Marmite chocolate? Has anyone actually eaten any?

charitygirl · 21/12/2011 10:03

Really don't want to eat much as we will be having a massive lunch and dinner, but wanted something diff, so will be posh toast and some cinnamon honey butter I was inspired to make by the Homemade Christmas thread.

Of course, this will actually be billions of calories, but hopefully won't feel too filling. And fresh orange and coffee of course.

Large snowball and a Ferrero Rocher, courtesy of Grandma Smells.

molepomandmistletoe · 21/12/2011 10:09

Poached egg and red onion on marmite on toast.

Pate to pick at

Dinner is rack of lamb with the usual trimmings.

jen127 · 21/12/2011 10:12

Going to the neighbours as it is their turn, expecting caviar, champagne , smoked salmon... Then again it will probably be just fab bacon butties can't wait!!

Aworryingtrend · 21/12/2011 10:13

We will be having crumpets with jam or fruit toast or similar.

MidnightinMoscow · 21/12/2011 10:50

Poached eggs on toast, with bucks fizz.

Or, I cook some bacon and then leave it in a covered dish in the oven and people can help themselves to rolls.

I like something as easier as possible that has minimal impact on the kitchen before the big cook starts.

Wordsonapage · 21/12/2011 10:54

Bucks fizz

Selks · 21/12/2011 10:57

Croissants and pain au chocolat.

vixsatis · 21/12/2011 10:59

Toast.
Need to leave room for mini sausage rolls and mince pies during the morning and enormous lunch

twolittlemonkeys · 21/12/2011 10:59

Usually have croissants but this year we're going to have waffles with some of my homemade cinnamon honey butter (thank you lovely posters on the homemade Christmas threads!) and fresh fruit juice (not from concentrate, therefore a big treat for us). I daresay I'll do hot chocolate with whipped cream too. The kids will eat chocolate and haribo sweets probably Xmas Grin

vixsatis · 21/12/2011 11:00

Edith
Chocolate shop near us sells marmite and chocolate truffles. Sounds awful but actually rather tasty

Hulababy · 21/12/2011 11:01

Poached eggs and smoked salmon on toasted muffins

headfairy · 21/12/2011 11:02

pain au chocolate and chocolate brioche (for the kids mainly, I try and save myself for the onslaught of processed meat and carbs later in the day) and champers and earl grey tea for dh and I.

chirpchirp · 21/12/2011 11:03

We'll have eggs benedict when DH manages to drag himself out of bed, before that I'll probably demolish a bag of chocolate coins and have made a tub of cinnamon honey butter to have on toast all accompanied by some fizz. It's just not Christmas unless you push your body to the brink of alcoholism and diabetes.

joanofarchitrave · 21/12/2011 11:04

Oh God I've no idea. Really should think about this, shouldn't I.

Croissants, poached eggs, horrible oranges full of pips from Aldi manhandled into juice I guess.

natashakaplinkyplop · 21/12/2011 11:06

Pancakes with maple syrup and bucks fizz.

lljkk · 21/12/2011 11:09

I don't think DC will eat anything but chocolate for breakfast.
Fry-up later, when we get organised.

GoodKingSlubbersArseFellOut · 21/12/2011 11:10

Cup of tea with toast & marmalade.

There has to be consideration for gut space and quite frankly I would rather eat myself silly at lunch and then Christmas dinner in the evening than fill up in the morning.

LaurieFairyCake · 21/12/2011 11:11

Like wmmc Panettone, salted butter (and marmalade or jam)

olibeansmummy · 21/12/2011 11:18

Bacon and/or sausage butties cooked by FIL at SIL's house. It's tradition now Smile

FluffytheSnowman · 21/12/2011 11:34

Definitely crispy streaky bacon sandwiches, with brown sauce - not too heavy otherwise I lose all interest in lunch, especially after cooking it.... We have too many bodies coming and going Xmas day in shifts so it has to be easy and quick...
