In our family we usually offer some kind of guidance/wishlist (rather than an alphabetised and indexed list of demandsGrin ) as to what we'd like for Christmas

What are you all asking for? Maybe I can crib from your ideas?
TIA

A pretty teapot
A watch
Cookbooks
A hand knitted cable knit jumper (good old granny will sort this)

All I've asked dp for is a bookmark and the new Stephen King. I wouldn't say no to posh handcream or some salted caramels though.

crazycrackernanna · 03/12/2011 12:29

A beautiful silver hob kettle and a massive kitchen clock I saw in a little gift shop for £20 each but I know I will just get frigging slippers again

SharonGless · 03/12/2011 12:34

White company pyjamas, learn Italian kit, cath kidston bag, new gloves, Babyliss Big Hair thing as recommended on here.

A long hot bath and large amounts of chocolate.
When DH asks me what his family can buy me I go blank. I'm so used to not having presents from my side, and DH and I just buy a housey thing between us.

Downton Abbey DVD box set, some blank books (to write in), some fluffy socks (to keep my feet warm) and some chocolate. I have no chance of getting anything unless I buy it myself though. Pah!

Mrsrobertduvall · 03/12/2011 13:30

At least ten books ( which I have already ordered)
A jigsaw ( never done one except 40 piece Thomas the Tank engine ones)
Lovely body creams
New trainers
A kettlebell
A handbag...not too expensive, maybe £100 so I won't be gutted when I spill something in it
Peace and quiet ( dh and ds go to Oz on Xmas Day so I am guaranteed that!)

Do some people really just KNOW what they are getting? Dp and I always ask each other for ideas but that's all. I'd hate to just be thinking that I've asked for an X and a Y so I will get an X and a Y.
