In our family we usually offer some kind of guidance/wishlist (rather than an alphabetised and indexed list of demandsGrin ) as to what we'd like for Christmas

What are you all asking for? Maybe I can crib from your ideas?
TIA

I've reached my 50th decade and still do not own any jewelry.

I have decided I would love some blue topaz stuff.

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 03/12/2011 22:20

Goodness thenightsky, you're looking well for 490. Any skincare tips?

Beauregard · 03/12/2011 22:27

I am getting my loft laddered Grin

I would rather have make up,clothes and shoes and shiney things though but needs must.

DingDongDialsMavislyOnHigh · 03/12/2011 22:38

We are skint so not buying for each other this year but I would love : a weekend away with DP, a hair cut or some jeans when I manage to lose some weight.

thenightsky · 03/12/2011 22:43

maskedwoman I drink like a fish Grin

Other skin care .... Bio-oil applied to crows feet at night and Boots Perfect and Protect in the mornings. Big sun hats and very dark glasses on sunny holidays.

PurplePidjInAPearTree · 03/12/2011 22:47

I have suggested:

Plants for my tiny terrace garden
Books

I will most likely get what I have asked for because SIL and MIL are fab Grin

MollieO · 03/12/2011 22:57

My list would be:

golf clubs (so I can start playing with ds)
books for my kindle
perfume
badedas bathstuff
digital radio

Unfortunately I won't get any of it Sad

I would like some of the following

Some cashmere bedsocks
A Jawbone Up
A memory book
A iTunes voucher
Liz Earle facial oil
Some lovely chocolates that I can eat all to myself

What I would like most of all is a nice hot bath, followed by 12 hours of sleep in a lovely big bed, followed by room service breakfast while I read a book and then back to bed for a nap. All on my own, in perfect silence. God that would be so amazing Xmas Grin

There is a reasonable chance of me getting everything on my list, bar the sleep and the time to myself!

Wordsonapage · 04/12/2011 06:41

I now want ninja gingerbread men cutters.....

beatofthedrum · 04/12/2011 19:46

Winter boots!
But so excited bout ds's first Christmas, I wouldn't mind if didn't get a single present (safe in knowledge they're in the cupboard, ha ha!)

spiderslegs · 04/12/2011 20:14

Thenightsky I am only in my 30th decade (the sunset of) & also drink like a fish but don't look a day over 38 - I put it down to a combination of;

Plenty of fags
Pork fat
Faster than light travel
A cryogenic chamber

However, back to the OP, I would like, lots of knee length wooly socks, new sheepskin slippers, books, cuban cigars, Brora cashmere, a magic porridge pot (with adjustable settings), horseraddish vodka & a time/space distortion bubble that I could step into & have six hours peace & quiet whilst the world beyond moved nerry a second.

That is all.

supadupaturkeystupour · 04/12/2011 20:33

bloody hell spider! you really are old!!!!

spiderslegs · 04/12/2011 20:52

Not as old as thenightsky (see above) - she is in her 50th decade - I am a mere stripling.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/12/2011 21:01

Harry Potter From page to Screen book.
Downton abbey book.
Socks.
Nice underwear.
Some nice bath stuff.
Ed Sheeran CD.
A suprise.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/12/2011 21:45

Ferret - have bought the HP book for dd2 but it is for me really! It is incredible.

spongefingeranyone · 04/12/2011 22:18

I'd love up wake up and find Michael Buble in my stocking but fear he may not oblige. Failing that I'll have to make do with a cream Dualit kettle (to go with my toaster) and the Rebecca Ferguson CD. DS is all that matters anywayGrin

startail · 04/12/2011 22:41

A watch which I believe is organised after much nagging.
A bottle of good fizz, not necessarily champagne. Just nice and dry. To toast the new year and make up for the sweet stuff I'll drink with family at Xmas.
Some nice brown ankle boots, this will wait to the sales. I refuse to pay £70 quid for every day boots that I wear out in a year or so.

thenightsky · 04/12/2011 23:29

I want jewels. I've got to my 50th decade owning shite plastic crap.

OH has been told.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 04/12/2011 23:36

nightsky I hope he gets you some good stuff!

My DH has to be forcibly restrained from buying me sparkly things because it is easy shopping, so I have to give him a quite specific list of alternative items!

bessie26 · 05/12/2011 01:20

A good night's sleep!

TapirBackRidersJinglyBells · 05/12/2011 01:22

A new pair of prescription glasses
Books
Pair of novelty slippers
Cozy socks

Perfume

toutlemonde · 06/12/2011 21:29

neuroticmumof3 · 11/12/2011 17:11

books from my extensive wish list
truffles (the chocolate sort)

MamaGeekChic · 11/12/2011 17:25

Things are a bit tight this year so nothing too extravagant...

Kaluha and vodka- aka Christmas morning espressotini ingredients ;)
A chocolate orange
Some elemis treats bought myself last week as the gift offer was on
A teapot
A book

If things weren't so tight, I'd like-
A big blanket from the White company
A new purse
A kitchen aid
Some black classic louboutins

I can but dream...
