Ah....no help here then.
My DD1 (10) has a pair of Dr Who pyjamas.
My DD2 (7) has a cute pair of 'Winter Wonderland' pyjamas made by M&S.

Both bought BNIB from ebay.

Peacocks - Matching PJs (I swore I'd NEVER put them in matching stuff but these were sooo cute) - blue with rudolphs on. £6 each so I don't mind so much if they fall apart in the tumble drier :)

FlossieFromCrapstonVillas · 01/12/2011 20:07

ASDA specials, £7 each, no logos, just nice checked ones.

countessbabycham · 01/12/2011 20:10

is a Christmas Eve hamper a thing people do?

sounds nice(sorry to hijack a bit but sounds fun!)

what else goes in one?

Tillyscoutsmum · 01/12/2011 20:24

I bought Asda ones for the girls. They've got gingerbread men on them - christmassy but not silly for the rest of the year. DS got George Pig ones Blush

orienteerer · 01/12/2011 20:28

What is a Christmas Eve 'Hamper"?

dd1 Don't ask , this will probably be her most favourite present.

All bought when they had 25% off

FlossieFromCrapstonVillas · 01/12/2011 20:33

I don't do a hamper, just new jammies on Christmas Eve.

MinnieBar · 01/12/2011 20:33

Don't know yet as I instructed politely asked my parents to get them from the US.
Last year was the first year we did it - we put in the pjs, some reindeer food, a christmassy book and maybe a DVD, can't quite remember. This year I think it will be roughly the same, maybe some hot choc for the DDs (DS won't touch the stuff).

Oh and I decorated it all with fairy lights Blush

ShowOfHands · 01/12/2011 20:35

DD cheapy Primark fleecy things wth gingerbread men on.

DS an ebay sleepsuit with reindeer on it.

The Master Elf leaves the hamper when he comes to check in and make sure we're all ready for the big arrival. At some point in the late afternoon a bell will jingle (thank you woman from next door), there'll be a bit of a clatter and we'll rush to the front door to find the hamper. He also leaves a new Christmas book (Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey this year) and dvd (Robbie the Reindeer trilogy), hot chocolate, bubble bath, festive flannel, a letter and some reindeer food (porridge and glitter) to sprinkle outside before bed.

ShowOfHands · 01/12/2011 20:39

Oh and marshmallows for the hot choc.

IwishIwasmoresparkly · 01/12/2011 20:41

DS2 has these

DS1 has these. He needs more pj's so Santa's elves (who are on the lookout and deliver pj's on Christmas Eve) will leave the 2nd set in his drawer at home (we're away for Christmas this year!)

CandyCaner · 01/12/2011 20:43

Disney character PJs for my two. + hot choc, biscuits, a Christmas DVD and a Christmas bedtime story each.

I don't do the whole 'magical appearance' thing, though. Its just a gift from us to the kids to usher in Christmas.

Lilyloo · 01/12/2011 20:47

Iwish both links are the same , albeit very cute Smile

wohmum · 01/12/2011 20:48

Has anyone seen any boys camouflage fleecy dressing gowns anywhere?
DS2 would love one , but can't find one anywhere!

orienteerer · 01/12/2011 20:55

Camouflage here?

IwishIwasmoresparkly · 01/12/2011 21:05

Sorry Blush

DS2 has these

2kidsintow · 01/12/2011 21:08

I've always done new PJs on Christmas eve. Mostly to avoid any future embarrasment of any Christmas day photos where they would otherwise throw on any odd combo from their PJ drawer as per every other night. Last night my DD (10) came down in a pair of satin Bratz PJ bottoms and a PJ top that was in size 3-4. She was proud as it fitted like a crop top. New PJs avoids this type of problem at least once a year.

This is the first year I'm doing a 'hamper'. I got them each a v cheap plain red gift bag from Tesco and they spent a quiet evening decorating them using their Christmas stencils. The don't know it yet, but when they get home from visiting Father Christmas on Christmas eve they will find these bags under the tree.

In there I'm going to put
Their PJs
Possibly some Christmas socks too.
Hot choc sachets
DVD each (Christmas Simpsons and Belles Magical Christmas)
Novelty Christmas shaped bubble baths (thanks to a previous poster for that idea) and some sweeties.

countessbabycham · 01/12/2011 21:09

ShowOfHands Christmas sounds BRILLIANT in your house!!!!!

Marne · 01/12/2011 21:22

Iwish - I bought those last year for DS1 (the reindeer 2 pack).

This year I have copped out a bit and gone for Primark ones as I was getting fed up looking and not finding ones I liked. (have of course seen a few on here now, grr).

Have to say though the Primark ones are v cosy and DS1 has expressed a strong preference for that style in the past.
